It may sound silly, but I always wanted to be an enchantress when I was a little girl.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
I liked playing make-believe and reading books more than anything else when I was a child.
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
I was intelligent, but I downplayed this. Â Most would probably describe me as quiet, or shy. Â There were not many duskwights where I grew up so I was a little bit different.
25. As a child, were you popular? Â Who were your friends, and what were they like?
I was not very popular as a little girl. Â I was friendly but I never really fit in with the other children.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
My first kiss was with a boy named Pemenicaux I met at the book shop I worked in. Â It was in the pouring rain! Â I was 22 years old at the time. Â I was kind of heavy and boys didn't really want much to do with me.
27. Are you a virgin? Â If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
I am not a virgin. Â I lost my virginity to that same boy - Pemenicaux Ianeira - and I was 25 at the time. Â Yes, I waited a long time.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. Â If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
I was a prodigy with white magic - born with the gift. Â I had some difficulty controlling this through my early life though, and there was an accident when I was 7 years old. Â This left me no longer wanting to use magic at all, and I swore off it entirely for 24 years. Â More recently I've begun using magic again, but it is frustrating to me that I possess nowhere near the talent with it that I once had.
Part 3: Past Influences
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
I think when Pemenicaux died, it was hard, but it changed me in a lot of ways. Â I don't think I would be who I am today if he had lived. Â Not a day goes by I don't still miss him, though.
30. Who has had the most influence on you?
Pemenicaux, my father, my old boss at the book shop, the friends I've made over these past few years.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I once had to sew together over two hundred pairs of pants in only a few days' time. Â That was pretty significant for me.
32. What is your greatest regret?
I often regret not spending more time with my father when I was younger and listening to him more often.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
I think I hurt some people when they tried to rob me. Â I was very emotional. Â One of them was a young boy. Â And I think some of them might have died because of it. Â I lose sleep over that.
34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
No.
35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
I think when I woke up from that dream and realized that I had to rescue Vaelyn. Â What happened there with Dalamud was frightening, but I think what was truly terrifying was the thought that I might lose my babies.
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
There have been a number of things, but probably one of the most embarrassing was when I was just learning to fight with the spear, I wasn't wearing my armor properly and it didn't fit correctly to begin with, and there were any number of wardrobe malfunctions that day.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
I wouldn't. Â What has been woven is for some reason, and to change that would be to change who I am. Â It would be easy to wish Pemmy back to life, but I have to believe there is some reason all of these things have happened, and some greater purpose for us all.
38. What is your best memory?
My first kiss with Pemenicaux stands out as the best memory of my life. Â I still get shivers when I think about it.
39. What is your worst memory?
The day the roegadyn fellow from Pemmy's squadron delivered the news to me of the accident and his death marks my worst memory ever.
Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I generally try to be optimistic, but I am also practical and there are some times when being a little more guarded makes more sense. Â I suppose optimistic overall, but usually cautiously so.
41. What is your greatest fear?
Right now my greatest fear is that the twins I'm carrying will not be born.
42. What are your religious views?
I believe firmly in the Twelve. Â Nymeia is my matron deity, and I place a lot of faith in Nophica as well, particularly after certain signs have revealed themselves to me more recently.
43. What are your political views?
Politically I favor peace to war, and negotiation to violence. Â Beyond that I don't really have any strong opinions one way or the other.
44. What are your views on sex?
I enjoy sex, but I believe it is a deed that should be held between two people who love each other and are faithful and devoted only to each other. Â My family traditions spoke of marriage always coming before sex, however I do not adhere to this myself. Â I am very guarded about whom I choose to share myself with though, and firmly believe that love should come first.
45. Are you able to kill? Â Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
I think only for self-defense would I ever kill. Â Or if a friend of mine were about to be killed. Â I consider myself a pacifist and would rather not kill if it could be avoided.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
I don't think there is anything more evil than betrayal. Â When taking an oath, it should be meant and not ever broken. Â When one puts all of their faith, trust, and devotion into another, and they are betrayed, there is no greater evil to me than that.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
I used to believe we all have one soul mate. Â More recently I've been granted another chance at love and I find myself struggling with this for a number of different reasons. Â I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this right now, so I'm unable to accurately answer this question.
48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
I think a successful life is made up of good friends, good memories, and time spent smiling and laughing.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
I tend to be very honest and there is very little I have to hide. Â I don't like volunteering information about myself because I'm not really sure I'm all that interesting a person, but I seldom have any reason to lie.
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
Not really. Â I tend to look on things generally pretty evenly.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Â Why do you refuse to do it?
I refuse to hurt the one I care about willfully. Â I won't ever betray the one I love.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
I would die for my children and their assurances of a safe and healthy future. Â I will put them before all other things in life.
Part 5: Relationships With Others
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Â Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I am generally polite but sometimes cautious around strangers. Â I am never rude to anyone unless they are first rude to me or someone I care about. Â As I get to know people better, I sometimes feel very protective of them.
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Right now I think Vaelyn may be the most important person to me. Â He's been supportive and tender and kind and I admit it's not fair to him that I am as confused as I am about my feelings for him right now, knowing full well his feelings for me.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
I respect Pater, my old boss at the book shop. Â He is always very friendly, sociable, and remains cool under pressure. Â I admire his priorities and his outlook on life.
56. Who are your friends? Â Do you have a best friend? Â Describe these people.
I consider a lot of people to be my friends - probably too many to dare to list them all here. Â They are as unique and different as people can be, but I care about each of them. Â I'm not sure if I have a best friend. Â I have regarded Nel Celestine as such for a long time, but things have changed recently and I'm just not sure.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? Â If so, describe this person.
I am dating a duskwight man named Vaelyn. Â He is kind and compassionate, but we each have differing conflicts that we're dealing with right now.
58. Have you ever been in love? Â If so, describe what happened.
I have been in love twice. Â First with a wildwood man named Pemenicaux. Â He died. Â Then more recently with a duskwight man named Oskar. Â He also died.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
Kindness, more than anything else.
60. How close are you to your family?
My father passed away recently, but I think we were much closer towards the end than when I was younger. Â He was all the family I had.
61. Have you started your own family? Â If so, describe them. Â If not, do you want to? Â Why or why not?
I had a stillborn baby when I was with Pemenicaux when he was still alive. Â Most recently I am pregnant with Oskar's twins. Â I was told I was barren after the still birth, so I consider this kind of a miracle and I am looking forward to motherhood.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
I would turn to my friends.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Â Who, and why?
I trust myself to protect me. Â I also often lean on those same friends sometimes, and know that I can usually count on them.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
I wrestle with this question a lot lately. Â I know Vaelyn would miss me. Â I think most of my friends would as well.
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
I don't really despise anyone, but if I have to answer the question I suppose maybe my mother, for not being there and for hurting my father and breaking his heart.
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I tend to avoid conflict. Â I would rather not argue, but sometimes it may be necessary to get a point across. Â I don't like conflict though.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
No. Â I don't really want to be a leader.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Â Why or why not?
No. Â I prefer speaking with people more intimitely, one-on-one, or in smaller groups.
69. Do you care what others think of you?
I do, I think, to some degree. Â I've lost a lot of weight, and I try to fit in as best in can usually. Â I would like to be liked.
Part 6: Likes And Dislikes
70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
I love swimming in the summer and running when the weather gets too cold. Â I enjoy knitting even though it makes me look like an old woman. Â I've also come to enjoy practicing the forms with the spear, a part of what Father used to call a sort of dance.
71. What is your most treasured possession?
My family's journals are my most treasured possessions.
72. What is your favorite color?
I like a lot of colors, but I think I like purple more than others, or maybe white. Â I like them both about the same.
73. What is your favorite food?
Chocolate...
74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
I enjoy reading romance novels and other works of fiction. Â I think I like a good steamy romance more than anything else though.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
I'm happy just passing time with friends. Â I like shows and plays, and listening to music. Â Perhaps more than most just sitting with some friends and sipping tea and discussing recent events is a fine way to pass the time.
76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? Â If so, why? Â Do you want to quit?
I don't smoke and I don't like the smell of it so I try to avoid it. Â I've never really tried any drugs and I'm not sure that I would want to after seeing the effects on someone I was close with. Â I will drink occasionally, but usually in moderation and usually only white wine - though I've tried ale and some of the stronger drinks from time to time.
77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Sipping iced tea on the front lawn and talking about recent goings-on sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday evening.
78. What makes you laugh?
I have a good sense of humor and find tasteful jokes to be funny.
79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
Rudeness, foul language, and arrogance are kind of offensive. Â I don't usually protest such behavior, but it will make me think less of you if you are unkind to me or to other people for no real good reason.
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
I would probably go for a swim or a run, or might try to get caught up on weaving work.
81. How do you deal with stress?
I try to take things in stride. Â I've learned that the Twelve never give us a greater burden than we can bear, but that we're tested in those moments not by whether we can handle difficult things, but rather in how gracefully we handle them when they come. Â I do get stressed, but responding to that poorly does not help anyone.
82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
I have been known to be somewhat spontaneous. Â It really depends what is going on. Â Having a plan is good, so long as it's not too rigid and allows room for deviation.
83. What are your pet peeves?
I think my biggest pet peeve is the unnecessary use of foul language, or profanity - particularly with regard to the Twelve.
Part 7: Self Images And Etc.
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. Â How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
The days are no longer normal any longer, but when they were I tried to exercise twice a day, then spent my shift five days a week at Sunsilks mending what was torn and making new garments - usually pants and dresses. Â If there was training scheduled I would make time for that, otherwise I would spend time with friends or do a little reading at home if nothing else really was going on. Â Apart from my work schedule there's no rigid routine to which I adhere.
85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
I like to think I'm patient, kind, and understanding. Â I've experienced a lot of life and I'm a good listener and able to empathize with others very easily.
86. What is your greatest weakness?
I'm told sometimes that I tend to overthink or overanalyze things. Â Pemmy used to tell me to stop thinking so much and to start doing more.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I don't know what thing specifically I would change, but I'm told I look a lot like my mother - except for my eyes - and I wish I didn't. Â I'd given a lot of thought to changing my hair style and color around, so maybe that.
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
I think I'm kind of middle-of-the-road. Â I tend to keep a lot of my thoughts to myself and don't mind spending time alone, but I also like getting out and spending time with my friends.
89. Are you generally organized or messy?
I'm very organized. Â Extremely so. Â All right, I admit it... Â I'm a neat freak.
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
I'm very good at listening to people, at caring for those who cannot care for themselves, and at tending small wounds, bumps, scrapes, and the like. Â I'm very bad at physical combat, leadership, and making really tough decisions.
91. Do you like yourself?
I used to not like myself much at all, but I'm starting to get over this I think. Â I feel I could be better, but I am mostly happy with who I am now as a person.
92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)?  Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public?  (If so, detail both sets of reasons…)
I mostly wanted to help out. Â Pemenicaux saw something and a way to do more. Â I disagreed with him at first, but have kind of wanted to pick up where he left off. Â So I sort of started out wanting to pick up where he left off, to kind of honor his legacy. Â I don't normally give that as my reason though - not anymore. Â Now I just want to help people, if I can. Â There are a lot of people that need help and it warms my heart to be able to offer that help when I can.
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
I want to be a good mother and I want my children to be happy and healthy and live in a world where people are kind to one another and don't feel threatened all the time by beastmen or the Garleans or anything else.
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I honestly don't know. Â Five years ago - or I guess it would be ten years now - I didn't think I would be here. Â I can't even begin to imagine where I would be five years from now.
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
I'd like to be a very old woman in my bed with all my family around me when I die.
96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
I would tell Vaelyn how I truly felt, and not to resent himself or me. Â I would try to speak with all of my friends one last time. Â And I would ask that my name be enscribed on the wall in the clan-lands along with the rest of my family.
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
I would like to be remembered for my kindness, openness, and warm-heartedness. Â I would want to be viewed as a shoulder to cry on, an ear to talk to, and a hug for whenever one was needed.
98. What three words best describe your personality?
Kind, motherly, patient
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Kind, understanding, compassionate
100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?  (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice…)
"Eva, chillax a little and don't worry so much. Â You always say yourself that everything happens for a reason, but you always get so worried about things. Â Maybe just try to mellow out a little bit and just let the pieces fall where they may."

"One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth doing is what we do for others." Â ~ Lewis Carol
