Part 2: Growing Up15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
   Forgettable
16. What is your earliest memory?
Attempting to help my father with his alchemy.
17. How much schooling have you had?
Significant, though I am not done yet.
18. Did you enjoy school?
My life is dedicated to the pursuit of education, of course I did.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
While schooling, you tend to study additional subjects that support your primary study. For more physical skills it was merely trial-and-error.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
My father, I already described him prior.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
Despite my father being my role model and my attempts to follow in his footsteps, he wanted me to join the guard or military as pay was stable and the work fairly secure for the time.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
   Alchemist like my father.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Studying, exploring, climbing trees, though admittedly there were less than enough trees.
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
   Annoyingly curious, persistent, an introvert.
25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
I wasn't so popular, as my time was taken by study. That said a few companions were very helpful at the time. A Miqo'te I met as a child was very insightful with regards to manipulation of other people.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
A companion you will not hear of, at a time you will not hear of.
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
No, but while most in Ul'dah would probably flaunt it, I prefer to not tell.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
...Magic isn't rare, many people practice it to some degree in one form or another.

Part 3: Past Influences
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Something I wouldn't put to paper.
30. Who has had the most influence on you?
   My father mostly.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Finding a few artifacts to study. While the study was brought to a halt, it was still a great find and a tragedy to have lost them again.
32. What is your greatest regret?
...Losing contact with someone of significant importance.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Tortured another person for vital information regarding an artifact that went missing. Justified, of course.
34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
If you mean at the moment, then no.
35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
   ... my first airship ride.
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
When one gets wrapped up in research for four days straight with no assistants to help, it may get a bit hot in the library. Sometimes, even smallclothes are too much of a burden, and sometimes people enter without knocking or making their presence known before seeing someone else standing there in naught but skin.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
To have been present when my father was wounded. With what little skill I had in conjury, I may have prevented permanent harm.
38. What is your best memory?
   I won't disclose this.
39. What is your worst memory?
   Or this..

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Pessimistic. Things will go poorly unless you make a firm adjustment.
41. What is your greatest fear?
   ..heights.
42. What are your religious views?
There is sufficient evidence that the Twelve are present.
43. What are your political views?
Money is where the power lies, but knowledge and wisdom fuels the acquisition of such. Ul'dah shows us that anything can be made, purchased, or made to happen with the right amount of money. Should someone without the knowledge to make that wealth be one in charge of others? There is a balance, and that is usually carried out as what is best for profit is usually good enough for people.
44. What are your views on sex?
People will do what they will. It's best to say I'm undecided as to whether or not it should be kept between two who are extremely close, or if it is a couple's choice. If pressed, I would likely side with a couple's choice as I am in no position to dictate. Hmm... why limit to couples when anyone willing and of age can make their own choice?  I would hope those choosing to have sex would seek to protect themselves from unexpectedly starting a family.  Knowledge and Wisdom...
45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
This is done almost daily. If you are referring specifically to other people, then it usually comes down to whether or not there is a reason. I wouldn't kill someone because I have the power to, but rather I would if there is a bounty, if there is reason to believe that a person would do harm to others, or if a person is at risk of permanently destroying any of my research.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Psychological torture is likely the worst I can imagine, but even that can have it's benefits.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
   No
48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
An occupation you like, that you are alive to pursue, with enough gil to not want for more.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
I prefer to keep my feelings to myself, though they do tend to show at times despite my preference.
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
Are Miqo'te able to read and write? Most of them I see in the cities these days sell themselves more than selling their services as a hard worker or legitimate academic.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
Destroy my research and study material without having a second archive elsewhere. My studies are my life and occupation.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
There is nothing in particular. Dying would be a waste of any future talent I would have.
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Pessimistic. Things will go poorly unless you make a firm adjustment.
41. What is your greatest fear?

Part 5: Relationships With Others
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I tend to stay at a distance if I can help it. Trust is a valuable commodity that is too often spoiled and I would rather have mine not be spoiled. Those that prove themselves as allies and friends might see a more relaxed demeanor, but it is rare.
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Myself, because my parents would want me to continue beyond their years.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
My old headmaster of A.E.T.H.E.R. more than six years ago. Soren. He made me realize that even for research, force must sometimes be used if you are to get any progress.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
I don't have many. Most are associates of business and trade. Verence, a fairly tall Elezen who also tends to be a bit of an introvert like myself would be the closest to a best friend I have.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
   Not anymore.
58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
I have been, but she left me for someone else. While I cannot say I have fully healed from that heartbreak, I hope she remains happy.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
One not afraid to steal my attention from my work despite my retaliation. One that is intelligent enough to discuss and even help me with my research. One that would balance out my typical temper and pessimism. I would hope that she would be a Lalafell herself, but there is nothing wrong with any other race.
60. How close are you to your family?
Fairly, I still write to them, news hasn't been the best lately.
61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
No, I wish I had, though. Companionship and the responsibility of taking care of a family would be an interesting and considerably challenging step in my life. A step that would likely force me to change, for the better I would hope.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Reluctantly, Verence. I prefer to deal with my issues myself.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
Anyone I hire with a good set of skills. That doesn't mean I should not be ready to defend myself instead.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
   My parents.
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
There is no person I particularly hate. If pressed, perhaps I'd have to say the Flame Legion Quartermaster, always arguing that I'd do more good in the field killing more of their enemies than continuing my studies.
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
   Argue.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
In social situations? No, I tend to let others manage that. However there were several times where I was... drafted to a leadership position in some of my previous years.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
Not particularly. It becomes difficult to keep track of people you have just met and things tend to get muddled. I prefer to keep working towards something, anything.
69. Do you care what others think of you?
   I get curious at times.
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
   What is "Saturday"?
78. What makes you laugh?
Despite what you would expect, a good joke can get me to laugh.
79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
Get up, take care of hygiene needs, check for any assignments or trips to the field. Check gear to be used for the day and get to it. Should there be no assignments of trips to the field, I may choose to work on my father's art.
When this routine is disrupted, I tend to overreact for a short time. I typically have my day planned and I do not appreciate having it disrupted, though I know that in a lot of cases it cannot be helped.
85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
Dedication to my craft? ... not entirely sure what I am expected to write here.

Sometimes the pursuit of knowledge and research can cloud my judgement.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
To learn to relax more often and enjoy a wider set of experiences.
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
   Introverted, I already mentioned that.
89. Are you generally organized or messy?
   Organized.. usually.
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
   Researching, Thaumaturgy, Fishing
   Armorsmithing, Talking about Myself, Socializing
91. Do you like yourself?
Not particularly. I feel like I am a pretentious moron more often than not and that I am far too uptight for my own good. ... it's likely why my former significant other is no longer with me.
92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons…)
The money is good, and that is what funds my studies.
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
To eventually open my own library and school. At the very least, I would like to set in motion the opening of said school.
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Likely still working in adventuring while trying to find safe investments that can mature. Five years is not that much time.
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
   Quickly.
96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
Draft a will, drink heavily, and generally make a bit of a nuisance of myself. ...I could use an excuse to blow off steam.
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
Ruthless pursuit of academics, to the point of even harming others.
98. What three words best describe your personality?
   Serious, workaholic, ruthless.
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
   Mean, shut-in, bookworm.
100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice…)
Take a week off from study, see how it feels. Write down how you feel after if you have to.
