“My name?  Tomas…†He pauses with an unclear look on his face, before clearing his throat. “…Colyer... Tomas Colyer†He finishes with a fake smile. “What? Full name…â€Â Tomas lets out a soft sigh as he slinks back in his chair “Tomas Alcott Colyer†He answers with a twinge of embarrassment.   Â
2.Where and when were you born?
“I was born in Limsa Lominsa, on the sixteenth sun of the Third Umbral Moon, in 1551 of the last era. “
3.Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations,personalities, etc.)
“My parents? Well my father was Edmwnd Colyer. He was a carpenter in Limsa Loninsa., he and my mother had their own small furniture store. It was mainly smaller things, all made in house of course. He was a bit stern, but never unreasonably so.  He sadly passed away about eleven cycles ago.My mother, Teressa, well she ran the actual store, handling all the customers since my father was in the back. She is a calm and understandable women, kind of has to be considering her current situation.â€
4.Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
“Yes, I had an older brother,Pyrce. He was the most rambunctious between us two. And he did cause a bit of a stir when he decided to become a deckhand on one of the ships, instead of apprenticing with my father. He eventually got bored of that and trained to be a gladiator and bounced around until he met Lilwen who he married.  She was a calming force on him, and I mean force. She was not as relaxed as my mother, and well he needed that push.â€Â Tomas pauses as he waits for the elderly woman asking the questions to finish writing. “No, my brother died early in the fighting with the Empire, and Lilwen she and my niece Caitlyn is with my mother in Limsa Lomina. Caitlyn is uh…†He quietly clears his throat. “… eight now. There are moments where she makes me wish that I had a child of my own and then usually quickly reminds me of why I am glad I don’t. â€
5.Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
“I live in Gridania now, moved here about seven cycles ago. Currently live alone.â€
6.What is your occupation?
“I am a carpenter. Yes, I ended up apprenticing with my father. Eh, it was not what dream of but I enjoy it. The store? We just could not afford to keep it going, so after going through the process with that I got a job with the Carpentry Guild here. Outside of that, I recently started training with the local Lancer guild.“

Tomas looks down, sizing up his body.â€I guess I would say I am a little bit above average height; I haven’t measured myself since I was a little kid. I am in good shape, not as big as some of these adventures, but my work keeps me at a decent level. I keep my hair short, out of my eyes and away from the ears, and that is about it.†Tomas unconsciously pats the back of his head. “As long as I have hair that is all I really care… The only other important feature would be this scar.†He said as he traced the scar that ran diagonally down his left cheek.     Â

“I don’t… I mean my social life is pretty light at the moment, so I really don’t know how the answer that.â€
9.Do you have any allergies,diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
“No allergies and not sick right now… though I do generally catch something fierce at least once every winter. Other than that I just can’t seem to be able to run longer than a few malms without needed to stop or at least slowing to a walk. “
10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Tomas holds up his right hand. “Right handedâ€
11. What does your voice sound like?
“Uh†He stops, with a dumbfounded expression on his face, as he attempts to think of an answer. “Normal for a Hyur?†He finally answers with a shrug after a few minutes.
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
“Another one.†He mutters with ahead shake. “I never really paid that much attention, sorry.â€
13. What do you have in your pockets?
Tomas calls out the contents of each pocket as he gives them a light tap, before stopping to pull out a small slip of paper. “A ruler, few gil, and… a list it seems.â€
14. Do you have any quirks,strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
“Hmmm†Tomas clears his throat again as he thinks. “I tend to be reserved in social gatherings. Once I get to know people, and with professional dealings I am ok, but on a social level I tend to get nervous. â€

Part 2: Growing Up“In general, good. I mean when we were little my brother and I spent a great deal of the day playing with the neighborhood kids, until we were old enough to help my mom in the store. “
16. What is your earliest memory?
“That would probably be when my brother convinced me that a ball of dirt was a Lalafell dessert.†He smirk “Boy did my brother get a whopping for that one, then I got one for being stupid.†Tomas chuckled quietly. Â
17. How much schooling have you had?
“I had very little professional schooling as a child. Most of what I was taught was from my mother as we helped out in the store.†He pauses and made a few noises with his throat. “You learn quite a bit of the basics operating a store, and then learning carpentry from my father taught me more of the advance arithmetic.† Â
18. Did you enjoy school?
“It never felt like school, since it really wasn't. But if you want to know if I would of rather been out playing, then yes.â€
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
Tomas suppresses a sigh “The carpentry from my father, at least the foundations. I am still learning from the guild of course. As for my a bit poor fighting skills, from some very patient people at the Lancer guild.†Â
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
“My mother and fathers, indifferent ways mind you.â€

“Good.â€

“I was and still quite am today, pretty reserved when it comes to social dealings. So I was more than a bit nervous when it came to meeting new kids.â€

“A bit. Luckily for me, my brother was not nervous and I benefited from being near him in that regard.â€

“I know I keep repeating myself but really it has been my biggest influence on me to date, but learning carpentry from my father. Yes, I was forced into it, but I do enjoy it.â€

Tomas leans back in his chair and stares at the ceiling as he ponders the question for a minute. “Selling the store. I mean there was no other choice, but if we had not sold it, that would have been my life. “
30. Who has had the most influence on you?
“Hmph, I know this my get a bit tiring but at this moment in my life it is my father.â€
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
“Joining the lancers’ Guild. I’m still a novice and haven’t yet fought anything living yet. But still it is a huge leap out of my normal comfortable life.â€
32. What is your greatest regret?
“I don’t know if I have anything big enough to call greatest. Definitely have a list of small things, but nothing hugely life changing. But if I must say something, there was this person that worked at a restaurant near my family shop that I never got the nerve to approach… yeah.. um yeah good enough I think.â€
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
“I’m sure that question gets a lot of truthful answers.†He mutters quietly. “I don’t know is stepping on a bug evil?â€

“No, none at allâ€

“Bahamut…†His eyes lowered as he took a deep breath.

Tomas took a breath as he unconsciously traces a finger along his scar. “It is not how I got the scar, but a few times I have been approached by someone wanting to know the story, believing I got it from some grand battle when it really was nothing of the sorts. Thinking about it, it was more awkward than embarrassing, to me at least.†Â
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
“I would go back and try to knock some sense into my brother earlier, and then maybe he would not of ended dying in that war, but then we wouldn't have…†He grimaced “I don’t know...â€

“ah… I would say helping my mother in the shop. Doing little things, cleaning up moving pieces around, it was just so much simpler then. “He stifles a laugh. “My life must sound boring compared to the others you must have interviewed.â€
