3. Who are/were your parents? Â (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
"I'm told by family acquaintances that I take more heavily after my father. He was a prosperous merchant who operated out of Ul'dah. Gwyn Artus Oroban was his name, and mighty proud of his talents with the economy. He met my mother during an attack on one of his caravans, a Highlander Flame Corporal by the name of Esyllt Fangbreaker. He was smitten, you know, the poor sap. She wouldn't give a pampered merchant the time of day, even if she'd fight to protect the citizenry of Ul'dah. What was a man to do for love at first sight? I don't understand it myself, but he threw away his savings to enroll in the Arzaneth Ossuary, and later join the Immortal Flames himself. I suppose it worked, now didn't it?"
4. Do you have any siblings? Â What are/were they like?
"Alas, would that I did. I wasn't gifted with any siblings, though that means I garnered the lion's share of the affection from my parents. That which wasn't given to each other or the people for whom they fought and...well, that's not pertinent to the question. I do ramble, my apologies."

Spoiler15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
"Idyllic, in my own opinion. I had two parents who made sure I was taken care of, educated, and loved. I have no regrets, even for the mistakes I know I made."
16. What is your earliest memory?
"My first day of schooling, leaving my home. My father's nervous face, and my mother towering behind him, giving me her best...well, least frightening encouraging smile. It's a wonderful memory, and set the stage for my childhood." He smiled softly, eyes wrinkling slightly around the edges in remembrance.
17. How much schooling have you had?
"I was taught literature, philosophy, and natural science, as many people are when given the opportunity for schooling. But thanks to my family's military service, my education focused more on the practical. Physical education, military theory, battlefield knowledge. Even last ditch triage."
18. Did you enjoy school?
"Of course I did. It made me a better person, and I used to...still do, idolize my parents. I was becoming more like them every day."
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
"I inherited a healthy physique from my mother, you could say. My appearance more heavily favors my father, as do my deft hands. I hadn't the faith in sword and shield my mother did, so instead I've forged myself. The pugilist's guild was gladly willing to aid me in that endeavor."
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? Â If so, describe them.
"We've been over this, of course. My parents, both of them."
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
"My father had a few siblings who he never spoke to, and my mother was a fish out of water in Ul'dah. We were all that each other had, but we were never wanting."
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
"Honestly? My mother. She was big, and strong, and solid, and everything that was permanent and right with the world."

"Running about outdoors when not studying. Occasionally prompting scuffles with other children for the usual puerile reasons."
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
"Wildness, curiosity, eagerness to learn, and rambunctious, sometimes violent temperament."
25. As a child, were you popular? Â Who were your friends, and what were they like?
"I had a few close friends, but I was on relatively good terms with many of the children in my classes, and those belonging to other members of the Immortal Flames. My closest friend was a small Lalafell boy named Kokomura. He was, for lack of a more polite term, my lackey more often than not."
26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
"A gentleman does not kiss and tell."
27. Are you a virgin? Â If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Arms crossed. Brow raised. Oh, that expression of bemused annoyance.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. Â If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.

"Hum. The first girl I ever brought home was scared of my mother. I was more embarrassed by the girl's actions, obviously."
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
"...nothing. The one thing I wish I could change is something that I never could, nor would those involved wish me to."
38. What is your best memory?
"My fourteenth birthday. There was a small party, my friends, my family, and they let me stay up late and get into the spiced wine. They saw me as a young man for the first time instead of their little boy."

48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
"Contentment. It isn't about what, or how much you do, but whether or not in your heart you are happy with it. A man with a heart full of greed can be ill content even with a fortune, while a man who lives for those he loves can die happily as a pauper."
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?

"Plan for the long term, adapt for the moment."
83. What are your pet peeves?
"People who don't appreciate what they have before seeking to grasp more."

Spoiler84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. Â How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
"I wake early and go for a run. I eat breakfast, either at a reasonable restaurant or stand, or something dried and available. I spend the day walking, riding, or exploring for the next landmark as I go from place to place. If it's disrupted, then I thank the Twelve for the chance to experience something new."
85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
"Determination."
86. What is your greatest weakness?
"Living entirely in the moment. Always weighing consequences."
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
"I'm content with what I am, and already working on who. No changes are necessary beyond those already in progress."
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
"Long periods of solitude have left me an introvert, for the moment."
89. Are you generally organized or messy?
"Organized. It was beaten...er, not literally, mind you, into me as a child. Things go where they belong, just in case an inspection is coming."
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
"I am determined. My visual acuity and dextrous hands make for a significant talent for hand to hand combat, especially that requiring limber movements or relying on the physical rather than protective gear or weaponry. And I have a knack for learning, eager to devour new lore and information."
91. Do you like yourself?
"I do."
92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)?  Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public?  (If so, detail both sets of reasons…)
"Adventurer? I suppose that's a good way to describe what I do. I travel until I find myself, what I want to be. What I will be. I believed I mentioned that earlier, actually."
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
"To create a legacy that will inspire someone the same way that I myself have been inspired."
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
"...happy. That's all I could hope for, no matter what I'm doing."
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
"For something I believe in. And in that case, it likely means in battle, since being flattened by a sleepy goobue would be rather embarrassing."
96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
"Make my peace. Pay off any debts which I had incurred, so as not to inconvenience those whom I owe, and wait for the inevitable."
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
"I was a man, who for good or ill, believed in people, and in the future."
98. What three words best describe your personality?
"Stolid. Sharp-tongued. Determined."
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
"It's that guy."
100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?  (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice…)
Lighten up! Let loose! Make some friends and stop being so completely goal driven! You're determined enough to get there, so what's a small wait here and there to make good on your belief that you want happiness!
