Natalie stares at the small puddle of spilled beer on the countertop from a sideways angle, her cheek resting on the cool wood of the bar. With what seems like herculean effort she raises a hand, plopping a finger into the stale liquid and drawing it lazily around in front of her face. She'd been there all night, as the raucous activity of night faded into morning, the only activity now is the quiet noise of cleaning, and the movements of her finger.
She'd sent Kage away, using the opportunity to sneak to the Quicksand. Her pearl had been alive all night with his pleas, before she finally placed it into a pocket, instead focusing her efforts on Momodi's many wares. More than once the staff had suggested she left, worried that she would turn to violence, but Natalie simply drank. Her only focus on numbing what she felt.
Her sister was gone.
"Oy..." She croaks dryly, pushing an empty glass towards the bartender, "I'm empty here."
