I voted "other", not because the other choices didn't quite show my preference options, but I like a decent mixture that wasn't really represented by the available choices. Â For instance, I do like to RP a comic relief or just silly character, but not in a completely comedic RP style at all times. Â It has to feel organic to the story (be it my character's or the story that my character just happens to have a part in), and sometimes there will be drama, romance, action, etc. Â
I also like a mixture of plot RP and just random freeform RP. Â I prefer freeform, but that can be boring if there isn't a little excitement thrown in once in a while. Â In fact, one of my favorite RP developments of one of my old RP characters came about AFTER a plot had finished and my character and another were grieving the loss of a mutual friend. Â It led to my character meeting his new best friend (as well as me meeting one of MY closest friends in that character's player). Â
As the old saying goes, variety is the spice of life. Â I find the same holds true for RP for me as well.
