Seems really cool! As a conjurer and first time player I'm really loving the feel of Gridania. Once I get a better understanding of companies I'll probably seek you guys out.

Thanks for posting! We're still figuring out the new systems as well (unsure whether to maintain our shivtr site, or switch to lodestone, etc.), and may be changing the name due to character limits.
I have a few prospective members that have committed to joining once things get rolling, but am looking for some solid, steady players to be founders and officers. If either of you (or anyone else reading this post) are interested in taking a top leadership position and signing the charter, PM me in game and we can party a bit to see if it's a fit. IGN: Gilbert La'pine

I liked Gridania Survey Corps better... gives off a nice Attack on Titan vibe.
Still like the idea... I'd totally before it if Tai was of a military bent.

I was wondering about the pvp myself... since none of the countries are at war with each other (thank the gods), how are they shoehorning pvp into the game? Arenas?

We're not sure but we're more than just PvP we also aim to organize PvE and we're very Gridania focused in our Roleplaying. I'm definitely more of a roleplayer than PvPer myself. Please don't let our PvP focus dissuade you if you're interested in Gridanian Roleplaying.
Also we liked Gridanian Survey Corps as well. Unfortunately Square-enix has imposed a 20 character limit on Free Company names, forcing us to shorten it. Edit: Gilbert has uploaded our first guide and it's on how to conquer the mighty Titan! I haven't gotten there yet but it looks like a mighty heal intensive fight. As a Conjurer it should be fun! We do not have a PvP bent on the expense of Roleplaying the intent of the original post was to dispel any concerns that we'd be giving up endgame efforts to focus on Roleplay.
