An event revolving aroundÂ Claire "Lightning" Farron from the FFXIII trilogy has been announced! Players will embark on a quest arc that will net them weapons based on/from the games, Snow and Lightning's outfits (depending on gender), as well as a new hairstyle option for the upcoming Aesthetician being implemented in patch 2.1!

Event Date and Times
From Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, December 9, 2013 at 6:59 a.m. (PST)Â
The story arc for this event is comprised of multiple quests that will be released at the following times:

Chapter 1: From Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)
Chapter 2: From Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)
Chapter 3: From Monday, November 18, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)
Chapter 4: From Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)

Lightning Strikes
Speak to the reporters who will appear at the following locations.
* Please note that these quests cannot be completed after the event has concluded.
* This event is scheduled to make a return in February 2014 for the North American and European release of Lighting Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII.

Required Level:Â 12 or above

Why not just bump weapons? I'd make a "docking" joke, but I don't want to get shanked. Tonberry

edit: or I could point out that in the top image near the left hand upper corner there are two fingers pointing towards the "X" that look like Goatse, but that might be a bit tasteless.

Well, the weapons and clothing have really bad stats. It's pretty close to vanity items.

Because of this, I think we'll see them about as often as we see people running around with the Warrior of Light Helm/Moogle Hat.Â

I believe it'll be us roleplayers who get the most out of these items, as opposed to standard players.
