Nope! There's a few FCs who use tumblr only, but most tend to post onto the RPC. Honestly with Tumblr's spammy nature, I prefer the RPC by a mile for creating events. I do see people making posts on both mediums though. I cannot say there's more to be found on Tumblr in terms of events, but for the odd one passing by. The RPC still rules out, simply due to the better outlay for it.

Some have a preference while others don't. I couldn't tell you the specifics on how big those pools are. I can tell you that tumblr does have a lot of interactive characteristics that makes it beneficial towards roleplay as a whole. Events are still broadcasted here as others are broadcasted on tumblr. This thread is for people who do use -- or want to use -- tumblr to further their enjoyment in ffxiv. So I think any posts here might be bias in tumblr's favor.

I've got my tumblr setup for Nef finally. It's both IC and OOC but all FFXIV roleplay based. It's a sub-blog of my main account so you won't see Nef following any blogs sadly. Doesn't mean i'm not following you!
As to the whole forum/tumblr discussion, I think each has their place. I like the forums for the static nature of it. If I want to see what events are coming up it's right there. Lore information? Awesome!

But tumblr is awesome for not only journals but also just socialization. It's a far better place to share screencaps and funny bits from RP. Amazing for posting stories IMHO.Â

So I use both! I've even made my own google calendar to keep track of RP events. I need reminders!
