There's always seeing who you meet in the bars. It's rare, but I even see people RPing in gold saucer's bar area now and then. That place could stand to see more use.

Well, my Dunesfolk, Koporo, spent most of his 36 years in the Sagoli, in a merchant Clan called Great Berimu. The timelines would add up, I feel.

I could work with that. It would have been three years ago the raiding from his group stopped but they could have crossed paths in the four to five years the Coeurls Claw were active. Granted he wouldn't look like most remember but it would add a level of akwardness if people brought the topic up around him.
