Thank you both It's been a while since I've been on a forum like this, I like it. Lookin' forward to RPin' with new peeps once I'm more settled in.

This will be where I post character-relevant art (or any I'm particularly pleased with) as well as commissions. You can find information on commissioning me in the spoiler section below. Below is information on me, the player. Character information and so forth will be added later on. I. Basic Info Name: Saahs Details: 27, no gender any pronouns go Primary characters: Griffin Whittle (hyur), Nourah Castomir (elezen) Secondary characters: Felux Harbor (viera), Ren Kita (garlean(hyur)) Linkshells: n/a Primary RP linkshell: n/a II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Probably light-medium most of the time. I won't be on every day, and I will need breaks from the game and/or rping every now and then. There will likely be some rotation as which characters of mine are the Main, as well. Kind of like seasons. During these times I'm of course open to OOC conversation (unless I make clear otherwise). I am a forgetful creature though, I warn you now. Don't be nervous to reach out if you think I've forgotten something. Views on RP combat and injuries: Come at me bruv. I'm fine with rolls, no rolls, pre-determined victory or flyin' by the seat of our pants. I'm not about to allow like, permadeath, but I've had characters lose limbs, get spiritually mangled, one guy even took a rocket to the knee. Of course it's polite to give a heads-up before just throwing punches unannounced, show me the courtesy and I'll do the same. I don't like characters bursting into a giant blades-out spells-flying fight in the middle of a public rp venue. Time and place for that. Views on IC romance: I am weak for romance, but I'd prefer not to write such a relationship without the characters having had time to interact and actually show if they have a good dynamic romantically. If I'm writing someone in a relationship I don't want it to be "Cool... Now what?" I want it to be "Cool... Now then... how shall their love fare in the face of... THIS LATEST PLOT IDEA???" The relationship should add to the risk and suspense, all that. It's not an endgame. But I do find romance interesting to write out, especially between characters with Problems. I don't shy away from writing dark themes and I do not shy away from writing unhealthy relationships. Actually I think I'd... prefer that they have issues. 'Cos then guess what? Then they gotta solve their issues... and that means more roleplay. Erp I am not opposed to but it bores me to death as a regular occurrence. I need at least 75% of IC interactions to be... literally anything else. I don't do erp for the sole purpose of smut. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Essential. Even for characters in a relationship, they had to have gotten their through some other form of relationship first, and if one only writes romantic dynamics, how a character works in any other relation is left in the dust and never really develops. And every kind of relationship can reveal and build more onto your character's personality, their storyline-- people are affected most by other people. Friendship, family, mentorship, betrayal, confliction. I love all the flavours. Views on lore: I like to bend it like the elbow. Dig my little claws into its nooks and crannies n' see what I can fit where. Completely breaking it will make my brain 404, but I love seeing how other people work their own made up lore into that which is already established, and make what's canon work for them another way other than taking it at cookie-cutter face value. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Not sure I understand this one. They're cool. They function to let you do chats. There's different kinds and it is neat. ¯\_(._.)_/¯ Do you mean like, my opinion of their use IC? ... Go for it? Linkpearls are an in-universe thing aren't they? So. S-so. Linkshells. Real? I'm lost. Looking for: Rp buddies who like smaller groups/one-on-one rps and love even more to scheme. Griffin I'd actually like him to meet some people who are unfriendly towards him. Not only has he got a suspicious aura to him and commits petty crime on a daily basis, but he also looks exactly like a missing person. Someone could sniff out him and his troublemaking, or recognise him and know off the bat that's not the him they knew. I'd love for Nourah to one day mentor someone, maybe have some villain buddies, and somewhere down the line he needs to be thrown in jail. Break that ego a little bit. Allo, name's Saahs. I'm a 27yr. digital artist, knitter, and musician. Horror and fantasy are my peanut butter n' jelly, and morally stupid characters are the bread. I made this account back when I first got into FFXIV in... 2017? ish? And then ~promptly forgot~. Made a couple profiles on the wiki back then as well, but as this point they are Ancient and Defunct and therefore, also, Moot. Health complications back in the fall left me with a lot of free time so I reactivated my sub and here we are! I grew up playing AD&D and games like Neverwinter Nights and Asheron's Call, and got into Warrior Cats forums and GaiaOnline rp, and WoW at the same time (didn't know rp was even a thing in WoW until Cataclysm though). I started playing in 3.5 campaigns during middle school. I've tried my hand at GW2 but it doesn't agree with my computer, and before its demise I was on WildStar, where I mostly hermitted myself away on my main's plot. It spoiled me in regards to housing and I shake my fist at FFXIV housing for all eternity. XIV's been fun so far -- mourning for WS aside -- but I've been shy to really step into its rp community. I'm majorly slow at MMOs, so I still haven't gotten very far (it took me years to hit my first max level in WoW). Nowadays my roommates and I are beta testing our own ttrpg system and have several campaigns in the works. I'm currently working on my first big one so that's exciting; the plot's been brewing in my head for over ten years now. And as far as FFXIV rp goes, I'd like to legitimately settle myself into it. I like to make characters that have complex personalities, with muddy grey morals, hypocrisy, personal roadbumps , and all those other tasty complications that make humans so confusing. I don't shy away from heavy/dark content, especially not for characters' backstories, but value OOC communication when it comes to intense themes. I like to put a healthy layer of lighthearted jesting over all the grisly gritty stuff, give it a lil' balance. I also like to make my characters connected to one another to varying levels. And have two mains. Because that's a great idea. Griffin Whittle, a lackadaisical trickster with a penchant for pilfering and lies, is a twiggy little man with profanely mutated aether. Skilled in witchcraft and back-alley knife fights, he currently works as a paranormal investigator of sorts. While sharp tongued and wont to provoke others for his own amusement, Griffin is a coward with a habit of biting off more than he can chew and paying for it dearly when running away from his problems finally catches up to him. One of those problems being my other main, a Duskwight going by Nourah Castomir. Having stolen the name from a disgraced lower noble, Nourah travels the world offering his services as an occultist and swordsman to both lawful and unlawful employers, after burning ties with the mad-science worshipping cult he was once devoted to. He's a harsh and strict person with an extreme moral code that keeps his personal business under lock and key from others. These two are closely tied to one another's stories. Griff first originated in WoW, and is one of my longest surviving OCs. His story's transformed moderately since his initial creation. And Nourah is my first attempt at a Mean n' Serious™ character, so I haven't rped him yet. But I'm sure he'll fall victim to my jesting one way or another. They all do. Griffin was supposed to be an antagonist. In public/crowded rp I prefer to write no more than one full paragraph, but in smaller groups or one-on-one rp, I can range from a small paragraph to two-three chonky verbal abominations. My activity can be spotty though for health and other IRL concerns, and I need breaks every few months or so. Until I have a regular work schedule, the best time to catch me ingame is during the evening and night time.
