I think i'm just about done. I can play for a couple of hours a day usually during the mid afternoon over here (UK) then when it gets to the later hours i get ejected from the server and i can't log back in. It's like i'm being thrown out to make way for people or something. I'm just gonna not bother until this crap gets sorted out.

What they could have done in open beta is closed every sever but one in each region, removed any population cap from the open servers, flooded all the players in there so they could of tested this kind of crap, but they didn't. They left it and now we have beta test 5.

But this is just as bad, because then the players already on the server won't be able to get their friends on the server (and make no mistake - all of the NA servers are locked right now). They done cocked this up bad. It's still a bad way to go about it, i know but it's choosing the lesser of two evils, restrict access to shit loads of your player base, or restrict access to a smaller amount.

That's pretty much what it is, the way i've seen population caps work in other MMO's is if you have a character created on that server then you have reserved space, there may be a queue but you will ALWAYS get in. this isn't like that, we have characters on these servers but they are refusing to let us in. from what i see, when there is low server load, people can make a toon and join and play and have fun etc etc.. they are going about this all wrong, they need to restrict character creation ONLY and let the people who already have characters on their servers play. if they did that then i don't think the majority of us would have an issue. what annoys me the most is that we pre-ordered to get early access and all we got was a glorified beta test.

I don't even... so i logged in to my character on balmung..waited in a que of about 300+ people..then as soon as i got in i was booted off and now it doesn't even put me in a que, it just says "This world is full blah blah blah" and boots me back to the main menu. Should i even bother trying to play until this crap gets sorted out?

Alright, this is to do with RP so i thought i would post this in here, i have a couple of questions now that i have managed to get my dude on to Balmung. 1. How do i use custom emotes? I am assuming they are emotes used for descriptive text. In GW2 it was /e /e [insert whatever here] "blah blah blah blah" But /e doesn't seem to work in ARR so i would like a little info on how to perform this. 2. I'm currently around Ul'dah and i was wondering where people go around there to RP. I've seen 3 maybe 4 people in total RPing.

I was forced to get on gilgamesh due to Balmung being full. I haven't had any interactions at all but from the names i keep seeing, stuff like Naruto uchiha madara elric lalouche the douchesicle . i'm probably not going to like it here... i hate names stolen from anime..i hate them.. I'm hoping Balmung opens up for launch/ early access.

So i got the origin humble bundle, there were a few games in there that i already owned so i thought i would give them away on a first come first serve basis. basically just leave a post with what game you want and i'll send the steam code your way in a PM on the website. For those unsure on how to enter codes on steam, simply click on the "Games" drop down menu at the top left of the Steam client and select "Activate a product on Steam" and follow the instructions. Edit: So i guess i should of thought this through a little so i am going to add a rule. new accounts, especially those with no other posts and extremely little time online will not get a code. A) Because it could be someone making multiple accounts in attempt to get all the codes and that's just not fair. B) you could be someone who has joined this website to simply get a code and are not actually apart of the community. If this upsets anyone then i apologize but I'm trying to be nice here and i wont have that ruined and taken advantage of. Ok so from what i understand, people like me (Who are not in P4 and just wanted to download the game ready for open beta/early access) we can't actually download it. I signed in and got this message "There are no valid service accounts." this is because i haven't registered my pre-order code (Because i haven't been sent one 0.o) then i got this message "For all countries outside of Japan, registration of the pre-order bonus code is scheduled to begin on the 20th of August, 2013" Which is after the open beta ends. so i have no idea what to do here.

One thing i hate is when developers leave their consumers in the dark. i can understand if they were keeping details to themselves that are under some kind of NDA etc.. but this is not the case. this is one of those "Screw them, they can wait" type deals lol

They never stated when just today. I was hoping at 5AM EST (9AM PDT) So I could hopefully finish downloading it before tomorrow but it appears not.. I'm a bit frustrated now haha. I wont be able to play until the 17th (Since i'm not in phase 4) i was just hoping to pre-load it lol It's 1pm here, i get the feeling downloads wont be available until at least..10pm my time.
