Military oriented guilds are always fun! and hey, someones got to create the guild/linkshells at somepoint ^^

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy, but anything is fine when it comes down to it. within reason of course ^^ Views on RP combat and injuries: Combat is a given, it's roleplay in a fantasy game that revolves around combat. Eventually someone is going to get into a brawl with another. I tend to follow the roll systems that people use for serious RP combat (possiblity of major wounds and such) were as a fist fight that started up over something i'm fine with just rolling with. Injuries are fine too, however I doubt i'll ever be killing off a character unless I have a really good reason. I'm open to most injuries. For example, loss of an eye or fingers. Views on IC romance: It's roleplay, i'm fine and dandy with whatever comes my, or others ways. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Of course, it's always cool to have other players as family. Makes for some great roleplay. Views on lore: Lore is a powerful aspect of roleplay, there are certain parts of it that must be stuck to. Whereas there must also be room for us to progress down a path of our own, for lore would not be created were we mindless bots that did nothing noteworthy in history. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): From what I believe, the linkshells are explained IC, so no issues here. III. Haha, cheers, i'll happily take someones dollar. in the end I went with ''Keldion Aergwilf'' which went along with the roegadyn surnames. ''Aerg'' = Ambitious and ''Wilf'' = Wolf. I still don't know if it feels right, or if people may look at it in a funny way (not as in, oh dear.. he must be bad, but as in.. just generally odd) I used a Roegadyn surname because I feel like having my character from Limsa Lominsa, I was going to go along with the whole family who moved there and thus, my character is not one to follow the tribal ways that would normally be seen in a Miqo'te... I kindly ask for your money yet again, as I am completely new to this universe and want to get it right. Cheers.

Both servers are going to be good, it's down to personal choice. I don't think we'll be accessing the servers (unless your one of the lucky few who manage to get through the barrier) untill early access/release. Not to mention, you'll make friends regardless of which server choice. Well, Exodus has opened up. Maybe I'll g'head and make a character there. Or maybe I'll wait til next week. I dunno. Hmm :? We're split across two servers as it is, don't do it! (for your main atleast lol)

So, i've been researching into this a little. At first I figured I wanted to be a Marauder and progress to Warrior, however I didn't want to tank (too much pressure, my days of tanking are long gone). The issue is i'm getting mixed results on what role they play, some say DPS, others say Tank. http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Category:Disciplines This is what I found recently, i'm thinking of heading dragoon now unless i'm reassured that i'll have a place DPS'ing as a warrior. you lot are the people I turn to. So, as I was about to create what I believe will be my actual character for release and such, I noticed that I had completely forgotten to come up with a surname for my Miqo'te male... I'm not really wanting to go with the Nunh and Tia tribal naming stuff (unless theres no way around it of course) what are peoples views on this? and also, the characters first name will be Keldion, any suggestions to naming is greatly appreciated lol.

Lol yup, I noticed it was up and was going to make my alt ready on there so I have something to do until gilgamesh opens up, clicked proceed and boom, nothing. lol

MMORPG background - World of Warcraft - Neverwinter - Guild Wars 2 RP experience Been roleplaying for years on the three games stated above (apart from Neverwinter ofc, fairly new out) Character ideas/info I'm still considering most of this, i'm new to this so I have a ton of lore to read. My current interests are leaning towards a Miqo'te Male marauder. having said that i've never roleplayed a magic based character, and the black mage armor is really making me lean towards it just because of how cool it looks. How did you learn about the coalition? Got into the Beta randomly, considered dropping WoW and switching my subscription to this, and thus, the first thing I did was googled what realm is used for roleplay and huzzah! What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Heavy, but open to anyone of any kind, afterall, new roleplayers need to learn. Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I live in the Uk, recently accepted into university to study Video Game Design (3D modelling etc.), i'm a major fan of motocross and downhill mountain biking.

An archer/lancer/conjurer should do so you can be right smack in Gridania for the event. Hopefully you will be able to by tomorrow. Is there an online map or easy way to travel to this place if I was to choose a different class? I'm not familiar with anything so, something to research while i'm waiting for gilgamesh to clear up. The only way would be to finish through the story quests until you get Airship pass sadly. And I would love to Rock, but I have a feeling if I start making alts, it would just end up badly ^^ I hope everyone that shows up on Gilgamesh enjoys the party/gathering! I have to level up to the airship? Well that stinks! And with new character creation being iffy.. man, I hope I'll be able to attend. Air ship pass... damn... high level or? if it's low I'm more than willing to grind away
