  1. Has anyone been able to get into Gilgamesh recently?
  2. Problem is there is no login queue to be stuck in, you just get a message informing you that the server is full with no indication of when you'll be able to play and your only option is to sporadically try to log in in the vain hope you'll get to play.
  3. Woooooh! Another day with my dear old friend error 1017! *sigh* What time do I have to get up to actually get logged into this game, I wonder? Apparently 1pm EST is too late in the day, and if the last time this happened is any indication then I should just forget about trying to log-in while the sun is up for the day.
  4. I met Biggs and Wedge last night as part of the intro quest for The Maelstrom Grand Company.
  5. Well it only took eight hours but I was finally able to log back into the game. I am never logging out again.
  6. That means the JP servers are up, is all. And if I'm not mistaken you can usually log in and access the game whether the servers are up or not, since the log-in server and actual game servers are independent of each other.
  7. Yeah, I can't wait to they actually get around to finally sorting it out. I need to make about seventy bajillion iron ingots to raise my armorer level up. I want to have a set of iron scale mail ready for my lancer which I was able to get to 18 today. Also, Doyle, name off a few characters and I can probably tell you if I did or not. I played more than a handful myself so it's entirely possible.
  8. Yeah, I had the same issue but I managed to luck out and one of the forum goers here had a pre-order code they gave me. Oh, and don't worry, you're not missing too much with all the maintenance and server issues. I really hope this latest bout will fix the issues. Not being able to play is killing my weekend off and one of my friends who pre-ordered is on the verge of just giving up on the game already.
  9. I thought about it, but it just seems kind of pointless since once the servers come back up I'll just abandon the character and never play it again. Then again if I run out of other things to do I probably will anyway.
  10. Going to apologize for this in advance but that is just fucking retarded. I played in 1.0 and I'm not deluded enough to think or believe that I somehow deserve to play when others can't. That is one of the most asinine elitist loads of tripe I have ever heard and basically amounts to "We played the game before you so we should get to play instead of you". Yes, we all agree that 1.0 was a let down, even the developers do (hence them, you know, making a new game), but that doesn't in any possible way entitle them to exclusivity.
  11. True, some people are riding the coat tails of the failed previous title or just dropped a Lincoln at Gamestop, but that doesn't mean plenty of people didn't shell out the full cost of the game when pre-ordering, so yes, there are a significantly large number of people who did pay for the game in full. And I imagine the number of people who did (anyone who bought the game online, which is much more likely due to the distribution issues I have heard with physical copies) aren't none too happy about the current situation.
  12. Hah, nice to see a fellow Virtue player on these forums. Not sure I ever got a chance to RP with you but I knew a whole host of players in the GAH and was one of the officers in a coalition supergroup.
  13. Can you blame them? People have paid for a game they can't play, basically. This is starting to smell like the Diablo III launch all over again...
  14. So what? They pushed their launch back two days? I get the reasoning since they apparently can't even handle the pre-order and legacy player base but how is that going to do anything to alleviate the issue at hand? Seriously, just reinstate the server queues already or take the servers down and fix the issues. Throttling the amount of players is so damn backwards it is unbelievable.
  15. Honestly that's exactly what they are doing, they are limiting the number of people on the servers (From my understanding it's a very low population cap at the moment.) so we all don't go rushing in and click on things at the same time and ultimately breaking what they had just worked so hard to fix. If happened twice yesterday with the duty finder and instance servers, we broke them, they fixed them, once the servers were back up we broke them again in a matter of minutes just from the amount of people trying to access them at the same time. That's a terrible way of handling things, though, and is the furthest thing from a long term solution I can think of. If their servers can't handle the strain then they need to fix that, not alienate their player base by not letting them play.
