I've definitely noticed this as well I often get totally clear before the cast bar finishes and still take damage. The only way I've found to avoid it is to start moving the second I see it.....but that sucks when trying to finish my own cast (even when I should have enough time to do so and move)

Hey there! I've been eyeing this linkshell from 'afar for a bit, but never posted interest since I couldn't actually make a Gilgamesh character. Buuuut, now I've finally been able to create a home here and would like to officially express my interest. I currently only plan on developing one character (since I'm a bit new to RP I figured I won't over tax myself too much) who is a nomadic sea bound lass with a nose for trouble. That said, I doubt she (or I haha) would make a great performer....but might be good security, talent elevator or bar staff I also plan to make a male character at some point but that's probably a bit down the road.

I finally was able to make a toon on Gilgamesh Kinda a bummer to start over from scratch (was L32 on other server) But I'm super pumped to be a part of this community!!

Eeek asked in /shout and got trolled for being a RPer Although, technically.... I WANT to be a RPer...haven't actually done it yet

Is there one? I'm totally new to the game and the server and would live to find a way to start meeting people and making some in game friends With the goal of finding a FC that fits me like a shoe, err glove.

Maintenance is landing RIGHT when my kiddo is taking a nap....hence there goes my only chance at a nice 2 hr block of uninterrupted game time /cry That said does anyone know if there is a OOC linkshell/chat for Balmung? Looks like Gilga has one but that server is locked (made the tough choice of picking between Gilg and Bal easy )

Thanks for the welcome all Can't wait to actually get in game. I'm actually VERY glad this is a sub based game. I have no problem whatsoever paying for quality development and content. And if it keeps trolls away all the better!

Hey all, Miseria here. First of all, hello! I look forward to playing and RPing with many of you! I'm very new to Final Fantasy in MMOs (but have been playing the console FF games for decades ) and semi new to RP - I RP'd a bit in SWTOR and GW2 though I def would not call myself a vet. I love the immersion and community that RP fosters so I really want to dive into it heads first this time 'round. On to the advice that I seek - Do you guys think the login (1017) issues from this last weekend will persist once we launch? I'm TOTALLY fine with a queue, even a long one. But not getting locked out after I created and started leveling a character. I'm using a few days of PTO time when early access starts so would really be bummed if I spend it staring at locked server message haha. Are there any RP communities starting out some of the less populated servers or is the general consensus to just deal with the locks/crowds for a bit till things mellow out?
