Yeah I know he trained Alisaie, but I wasn't sure it was likely that he would've trained others too, at least he didn't mention anything in the questline up to the point where I am. The little lore I know about red mage would suggest that most of them are gone and the source material to become one isn't in a particularly safe place. Are there other options to become one too? Not that the one you mentioned isn't valid, but I just wanted to see if there's more options and find one I like.

Hello friends, I'm an avid roleplayer, I've been enjoying this hobby for longer than I care to admit. I used to just rp in person with friends, then I started roleplaying on other MMOs, and now I finally started my rp adventures on FFXIV, mostly just with friends. I'm a viera and I wanted to rp as a red mage, I'm mostly wondering how likely that is. I'm only level 75, and still going through stormblood, so I don't know what happened in the red mage storyline until the end. As far as I know there may be a new generation of reds.
