On Heavensward eve (that's June 18, as if you didn't know) at 10pm EST, let's show up at the Gates of Judgement and party like it's 199-the-day-before-the-expac. Recommended, but largely un-facilitated, activities include: Co-ordinate leveling parties for their shiny new classes! Share predictions and unintelligible excitement! Don your best cultist garb and submit yourself to Shiva or Halone! My only goal is a jubilant crowd, partying up, making friends and goobue lines. Anyone who'd like to try to impose order or manage an actual event - by all means!

Enjoy a spooky, scary atmosphere and settle in for a bone-chilling performance of The Legend of Sleepy Nibelheim, beginning promptly at 7PM (EST) on November 1st. But beware... spirits are afoot, and should they appear, not even the mummers of Lansquenet will be able to keep their heads...

Sorry I couldn't let it lie, but just as a quick correction - "Sea Wolf" doesn't mean pirate or reaver or ne'er-do-well, it refers to a specific ethnicity within the Roegadyn race. You can't really have been a Sea Wolf and become Not A Sea Wolf Anymore. That said - I'd recommend keeping an eye out for public RP events being advertised.

Oh I didn't say it was hard to understand. As a matter of fact I understood it perfectly the first time. I said (not in so many words) that it's silly and an entirely invalid argument. "others do it so we must do it as well" isn't an argument. It's simple as that. No one here or anywhere else on the forum (to my knowledge) has gone anywhere beyond what we see and read every day from NPCs in the game. There's no need to pander to oversensitiveness from people that seem to have no problem with exactly the same things in the game So do you gain anything by being this stubbornly inconsiderate, other than being spared having to type an extra couple words?

Ugh, do we really have to keep having this conversation? Everyone has their own opinion about it and most of the people who are engaging in any bickering to begin with aren't listening to the other side anyhow.

So my understanding of FC housing is that it happens in instanced neighbourhoods. It'd be awesome if we could get some roleplaying guilds together as neighbours, but to do that will naturally require some co-ordination, because it's first-come-first-serve. This thread is to try to co-ordinate that! Gilgamesh folks, head over here! ---- So here's the deal: If your FC is in the market for a house and you want to help make an RP neighbourhood, here's what you have to do: Fill out the short form in this thread and post here. Scan the thread for people you'd like to be neighbours with - post about it! DON'T buy housing until a purchase date for your group has been selected from the thread! Once FCs start posting here, I'll update a list grouped by location and desired purchase time. FCs can co-ordinate among themselves and ideally we'll wind up with a bunch of housing purchase times that'll give us a big ol' neighbourhood of RPers. ----- FC Name: Your company's name. Location: Will your company be buying housing in The Goblet, Mist, or Lavender Beds? Active Periods: When is your FC most active? This is optional, but will help people decide who will make good neighbourhoods! Desired Purchase Date/Time: Because FCs will have to buy houses one after another, everyone in your housing group will have to do it together. When is a good time for your FC to do this? Excuse me? You have made it abundantly clear that you did not even read my posts. Nowhere did I say I was hoping, I was discussing potential solutions in a thread for discussing potential solutions. Rather than rushing on ahead and making my own shiny special RP linkshell on a server without prior organization because that is excatly what I said I am trying to avoid. You've been nothing but rude to me, and even when I've dropped it you're continuing to make shots at me? Stop playing the victim when you've been nothing but rude, condescending and, with the exception of your latest post, completely unwilling, not just to contribute, but even to let other people discuss things in a topic for discussing things. Seriously. If you're going to act like a jerk, don't be surprised when people line up to tell you that you're acting like a jerk.

You know, I wrote out a huge response to this, but then I reread your post. I'm sorry you can't get into gilg. I'm sorry you're going to have to form a small coalition of players who don't want to wait for gilg to open up in order to start RPing early, it's a ton of work. However, stop whining. Just do what you got to do. Was this post in any way necessary beyond getting the rudeness and condescension out of your system?

This is only a viable solution for people who don't mind having a separate character for RPing, with the knowledge that their time will be split, and that character's mobility and physical presentation will be very limited due to mechanical restrictions. In other words, it's not a very good solution except for a small subset of the population.
