The old man woke with a start, staring at Faythiel with wide eyes, she sighed and shook her head. "I need a break, its time for you to look after your own business,ne? I'll help more later, but I need a break." she said, walking out the door to his room into the tavern, she gave a few people a nod then stepped out the front door of the tavern, intending to find a nice calm place to settle down for a little while, and finally begin working on the real reason she had come...making maps...
-
Faythiel sighed at how busy the place had gotten with no one to help her. She had just brought over a cool glass of water when the newly arrived Miqo'te woman got up and went to help the injured lalafel. She smiled to her as she went up the stairs, and then once she was out of sight, she stomped back into the owner's room, turning on his lights without warning and kicking the edge of his bed. "You wake up now, ne?! I have been working for hours through troublesome customers, alone, and you aren't even paying me!" she shouted, hands resting on her hips as she gave him a scornful look. "I suggest you get up and motivated soon, because I'd like the break I came to this inn for, and if I have to wait to much longer I'm going to leave the place unattended!" She shouted at the man in frustration, her arms moved from hips to crossed in front of her as she awaited his response. Her shouting might have been heard from the tavern if the hustle and bustle were to quiet for even a moment.
-
Faythiel simply nodded at the specticled man, then smiled to Gavriel. "I'll bring you some food over to your table.." she assured him, heading back behind the bar, putting several of the meat pies Aveline had prepared onto a tray and hoisted it up over her head, she headed over to their table, the bells of her belt jingling lightly, she then sat a plate of food in front of each, humming quietly as she did so, then bumped Gavriel lightly with her hip as she passed by to his table sitting down a plate of food for him also. She pasued after, looking to Bear, Tadir and Tab. "Refills anyone...? She looked over to Dreamer questioningly, though she noted his glass was still rather full as he had been savoring the drink rather than chugging it down. Her attention then went back to the Elezen woman who had come in, and was by now standing in a corner with the lalafel, casting the rowdy table a look of unease. Faythiel moved behind the bar, and brought her over a key, handing it to her. "He's in room 5. I'll come check on him in a moment if you do not wish to stay." She then returned to the trio's table and took away the bottle. "I'll bring a nice cold pitcher of water then, ne?" she said to the more pleasant of the group with a smile, bustling away to get thier drinks.
-
Faythiel frowned at the sudden hostility in the room, then calmly strolled over to to the trio of men. "He's not your waiter...all we're serving is meat pies...y'can take it or leave it as our cook just left..." Her silver eyes flitted over the group. "That just leaves me 'ere to run things, so I'll make MY rules clear... You will not sass me, you will not sass my customers.." She paused looking to Gavriel, then back to the men "And you would do well not to cause any further trouble, because I'm the one serving your food, and the 12 knows what could accidentally find its way into your dinner if you piss me off...." She smiled pleasantly with an odd cheer about her even in the situation. "And best not to make any further threats...because I don't need a weapon to hurt any little egotistical shit of a man in 'ere, ne? Doesn't mattter how big either, sugar, cuase you've all got bits that bust under a mere 3 lbs of pressure...and I'm NOT afraid to go there if pissed off.." She sat a full bottle of whiskey on the table and some shot glasses for them, then stood in a way that favored her right leg, hand on her hip, she tossed her hair over her shoulder. She then offered a polite bow and a wink. "All that being said, welcome to Al'Mian...and that was 3 meat pies for you each, yes? Will you need a room." She stood upright once more, moving between the man and Gavriel. "My name's Faythiel, and you'll just need to give me a shout if you need a thing.." She still seemed perfectly calm and at ease, her gaze still polite at the individuals, her tone clam and sweet when she spoke, she stood her ground between the two men, unflinching.
-
"Aveline made meat pies, so thats what we have...so no...no fish..." she said with a smile, humored that a man would as for fish in the middle of the desert. She leaned in to take his glass to go refill it. When she returned from behind the sat the glass down, with a nod. "And as for your your other question, my name is Faythiel...and I am not employed 'ere...I'm just helping out while the owner is ill..." She paused looking thoughtful "Initially I'd just come to rest, perhaps perform...which I already did...and maybe give the mercenaries 'ere a hand...but instead...I am the nonprofit waitress of the evening..." She chuckled a little at her own luck. "It is nice to meet you though, Tadir...and...friends..?" she looked to the others questioningly, hoping for their names.

Holy crap. Very similar. X.X
-
Faythiel had bustled over to the table giving Bear a questioning look and a friendly smile which quickly faded at the mans shouting. "You may seat yourselves...I'll get to you in a moment, ne?" She said in her odd accent, eying the three men wearily, then giving Blue a look, already thinking these 3 may cause issues. Her silver eyes flitted back to the table she was standing near. "What did you need?Refills?" she asked, looking to each individually.
-
Faythiel's concerned look for Bear turned into a wry smile as she glanced to Dreamer as he spoke to her. "Seems to be the ass end of the universe, ne?" she mused at the man, moving behind the bar once again to ready him a plate of food. "But one would suppose you want a REAL answer so..." she sat his plate down in front of him "You're in the Al'Mian Oasis..." she said with a wink, refilling her own drink while she was behind the bar. She took a steep swig of her whiskey, and resumed washing out and drying some glasses behind the bar. She hummed to herself pleasantly, her own tune causing her to bop a bit in place, hips wiggling ever so slightly to her own melody.
-
Faythiel watched the situation from where she sat at the bar, quiet, not wanting to distract Gavriel from his stitching. "Will he be alright?" She asked when it was all finished, looking between Tab and Gavriel questioningly, looking a little concerned. Her silvery eyes rested on Bear for a moment before she moved over to take the dirty towels and pail of bloodied water off their table, only to return with a clean washcloth to wipe their table down. She made sure to clean the table thoroughly, but expediantly, quick to try and be out of their way , not wanting to intrude too much..she'd worked a few waitress jobs before... She stepped back from their table, bowing politely, hesitating from leaving a moment, waiting to see that all was well.
-
Faythiel paused, looking up to Gavriel. "Yes...one moment..." She simply said as she continued to scrub "I'll have out the pail once I've finished..." She sighed, strands of her hair falling into her face as she cleaned...somehow she'd gone from being helpful to working for free.. She stood once all the sand was cleaned and lifted the pale, making her way to the sink behind the bar to empty it into the basin, she then began to clean out the pail with hot water, taking care to get out all the sand so none would make way back into Bear's wounds. She then turned and dug around under the counter to find some clean towels and the medical kit. She filled the pale with warm water and brought over the towels and kit sitting the pail on the floor near Gavriel, and the towels she left on the table. She bowed politely to the group, then bustled away to sit at the bar by herself, where she took a shot glass and bottle of whiskey, filling the tiny glass. With a sigh she slammed back the drink, brought over 2 shots to Gavriel, then went back to the counter scooting the little glass away,to go back to her water.
-
Faythiel nodded to Tab, turning to fix a plate of food, about to hand it over for the Roegadyn, she paused as he and another new face stepped inside, she eyed his injury, but said nothing, she instead winked to Tab and bustled over to the table her friends had seated themself, sitting the plate of food in front of the injured man. "I'll be back with the drinks your friend ordered for you." she said to Bear with a smile, then looked to Tadir. "I assume you are the gentleman the young lady at the bar is claiming will pay the tab, ne?" she asked looking to Tadir, her smile fading a little as she noticed the sand in the floor, but she said nothing. "I'll let the trio of you work all that out, I'm sure she'll come sit with you both..." she said with a nod, then moved over to notice where the small bits of sand lead...to a bigger mess of sand near the door. With a sigh, Faythiel brough over their drinks the Miqo'te had ordered then got a broom and began to sweep the mess out the door. She didn't complain or offer any unpleasant looks as she worked, she simply stayed quietly to the chores. After a moment of sweeping, she went behind the bar to remove her bangle bracelets and rings to leave them near Blue so she could keep an eye on them, then rolled up the pant legs to her sparkling dance costume and moved over to begins scrubbing at the floor with a sponge and a pail of water...once sand got left in this sort of place you'd never get it out unless you caught it early. She quietly hummed a song to herself as she worked.
-
Faythiel laughed, pouring a glass of sweet smelling wine for the man, carefully bringing it over to him, sitting it on his table with a wink. "No one defeats the Lady of the Sands, ne?She just let you live...but...celebration is in order for that too I suspect." She paused a moment to observe him, clearly waiting to see if the wine she chose was to his liking. "Will you be needing anything else, friend?" she offered politely, glancing over to Aveline. "Blue is cooking up some dinner over there if you feel hungry.." she said, gesturing lightly to Aveline with her hand.
-
Meanwhile inside, Faythiel had rushed behind the bar to aquire a drink for the newcomer. She poured a shot of whiskey and a glass of ice water and bustled over to Dreamer's table. "Do not talk, ne?Just drink." she said, offering a smile. "Talk to us when your voice catches up with you...tis clearly still in the desert." She mused, then looked over to Aveline who was busily cooking up a few things after the Lalafel had already ordered food, probably a good plan, more would be getting hungry at this hour. Faythiel bowed politely to the man, the bells of her earrings and belt jingling as she stood and bustled off to help Aveline. "I'll do drinks Blue, you're probably a better cook then I would be." she said with a laugh, beginning to clean glasses until someone else ordered
-
Faythiel frowned at the sight of the man, and with a shake of her head and a sigh she scrounged up a blanket to toss over him, moving the bottle of drink away from him. She turned out his lights on the way back into the tavern area so that he would not sleep restlessly. Faythiel emerged back in the tavern through his doorway, looking to Aveline. "He's fine. Passed out drunk.."She smiled, leaning on the bar once more. "I'll bring in some water and bread later for him...one can only imagine he's not going to feel well after drinking like that, ne?" She then moved to go from table to table, bowing politely to each customer as she asked rather or not they needed food or a refill on their drinks.

The FFXIV Beta: You Need No Life To Survive.
BelovedHatred replied to NKato's topic in Artisan House
I played Sword of the New World for ages. There is no fun in it. Lol. The lower lvls aren't so bad because you have active quests you can do, but once you reach veteran (lvl 100) you pretty much just sit in a zone afk all day every day for days on end to get from vet to expert, expert to master...its mostly endless afk grind, that rewards you with more lvls to grind..and the occasional update that impliments some new armors weapons, chrs or costumes. -
"I'll check on him.."She offered, looking thoughtfully towards the door he had exited through. "I was wondering myself if he was well.." She said, heading back through the door to where the man had gone, stepping lightly in case he was asleep, though she still jingled a bit as she walked due to her jewely.
-
Faythiel took up the gil that had been tossed in her direction and moved to seat herself at the bar for a break in between performances, she swayed her legs to and fro, sipping from her drink. "You play drums decidedly well for someone who claims not be a musician." she said with a smile to Blue, sitting down her drink, now re braiding her hair. "You were saying something about having served drinks before...where did you work previously?" she asked, giving a curious look, she finished her braid, tying it off at the end, then grabbed the pitcher of water and walked over to refill the glasses of the Lallafel, looking over to Axl in passing. "You need another drink, ne?" she asked seeing that he'd already chugged his down. "I'll get that for you then." She offered, bustling over to the bar to allow Blue to fill another tray with drinks as she sat down the pitcher.
-
Faythiel smiled to Blue, the turned to move to the opening where she was to dance, letting her hair down from the braid, shaking it loose as she walked, the light catching the golden strands in her silver hair that was now draped down over her shoulders. She moved to the center of the clearing, taking in a deep breath, her eyes closing as she listened to the Miqo'te's beat, her hips began to pop side to side as the rhythm became steady. She bought her hands upwards to the sky, then traced them down, her wrists rolling and her fingers moving in a wave as she visualized herself alone in the desert, a rare rain beginning to fall over she and the sand. Her body became one with the rain as her hips moves in a fluid figure 8 motion. The drums beat hummed within her, as if it were her true heartbeat. Faythiel opened her silver eyes, casting them over the bar, though it was still her imaginative eye that held her senses captive... She still stood in the desert, and appearing before her was a shadow of a man, her heart pulled towards him, her hips following forward as she moved her abs in a rolling motion, a mischievous smile creeping over her features both in this false desert and where she stood in the bar... She offered this shadowy gentleman a come hither stare, unknowingly casting that very look at Axl within the bar...for it was not he she saw... The shadow lurked forward wantingly, and she danced back out of reach, her back turned to him, she took a few steps away, still canting her hips from side to side. He vanished. Another man not wanting that which was not easily obtained. Faythiel arched herself backwards as her back was still turned, looking upside down at the crowd in the bar..her now desert of solitude. She made the same fluid motions with her arms as before...rain...she then moved her hands over her heart, looking a bit as if in despair, and with a roll of her abs pulled herself upright once more. She faced her solitude, her eyes closing once more as she could almost feel the cooling desert breeze of evening. Faythiel looked upward. Her mind's eye spying the crescent moon that was hanging in the sky... She knew the Goddess Menphina smiled on her through it. She smiled back. Her hips moving in a motion that made her almost seem to vibrate in place, her hips still moving in a ticking figure 8. "It is better to know Passion without Love, than to have Love without Passion." She and her goddess seemed to say as one, Faythiel absently said this out loud, but softly. Renewed she looked back to her desert, now finding an oasis, she moved her body and arms in an almost serpentine motion that seemed to propel her towards it. Her gaze became predatory, nothing could stop her. Rejection. Solitude. Pain. Hate. All replaced with an aggressive passion for life... She moved into her Oasis, and in the center, she dipped down, hair covering her face as she crouched down, submerged. She found her inner peace once more...the song ended...She looked up to the crowd as her imaginary world faded from view, and she offered a simple polite smile to the bar, then stood, bowing lightly, the small bells on her earrings and belt jingling as she did so. She carefully tucked her hair over her shoulder as she looked up a little to gauge her audience's response... (Visual and sound reference if wanted: )feature=channel

She smiled, taking up the tray of drinks. "I am called Faythiel, and yourself friend?" she asked as she hoisted up the tray on one hand easily, and moved to give Axl his drink, still listening for the response the Miqo'te may give. "Here's your order...enjoy.." She said, sitting down the drink in front of Axl, she then moved to refill the glasses of water in front of the two Lallafel. "I'll just need a slow steady beat...too much more excitement 'ere and I'm afraid the owner may have himself a bit of a break down." She joked, glancing over to the Miqo'te as she moved table to table, eventually bringing back an empty tray to sit on the counter. She sipped her own glass of water once more, looking to the understudy barkeep, awaiting her readiness.
-
Faythiel responded to Blue with a sincere laugh. "I am always in the spirit..." She pulled from her side a small set of bongo drums that were wrapped in a thick, dark brown leather to protect them from the sand, she sat them upon the bar as she unwrapped them. "If I am to dance I'll need someone who can keep a steady beat for me on these. I cannot dance to nothing, ne?" She smiled up to the Miqo'te tender. "Do you know how to play?" She leaned on the bar, watching the woman fix drinks, her silver eyes watching her curiously. "I'll take those out to the customers for you if you'd like, M'dear..can't have you trying to be everywhere at once.."
-
She grinned impishly at the man, mildly amused at his fidgeting. "Well...I can play harp, panflute and drums...I sing...and I can bellydance...assuming anyone here could keep a stead y beat on the drums for me.." Her eyes scanned over the bar-goers thoughtfuly, then back to the man. "Up to you though M'dear...it is your choice in your bar, yes?" she asked in an accent that might seem a bit thick to anyone not from Ul'dah. She paused, her smile only waning a little as she heard Axel shouting at the man. "If you have a problem with the speed at which he serves, sir, you may yell at me...twas I who hindered him with my banter.." she said to Axel from across the bar, loudly enough he might hear her, though she kept a polite tone. "I'm sure he was just getting to you.."She assured him, then smiled into her drink as she took a sip.
-
Faythiel glanced over her shoulder to the newcomer, nodding a polite hello to her, the tiny bells on her earrings jingling in the process, she then turned her attention back to the barkeep. "Kind sir...perhaps you might find yourself with a fuller house, had you a performer.." She smiled a wry little smile, that made her eyes look almost mischevious. "..I myself am a performer, you see...and would be happy to help you liven things up..." She waved a hand indicating the dullness of the bar, the boredom of its patrons nearly tangible in the air. "So what do you think, sugar?" She asked, resting her elbows on the table, lacing her fingers together to rest her chin upon her hands, questioning silver eyes calmly upon the man as he thought over her proposal.
-
It was during this large commotion that yet another unfamiliar figure would join this crowd... Most hadn't noticed the tan skinned Elezen woman wander in, a few nodded to her, taking note of her colorful attire. She paused a distance away from the commotion, the sun causing the sequins of her black and teal costume to sparkle, along with the jeweled ring she wore in her naval, which was left exposed in this costume. It was hard to read her expression for anyone that looked, all that they could see of her face was her silvery eyes, that scanned over the scene, her hair and face covered the rest of the way by only slightly transparent black veils. After just a moment, she turned inward to the tavern, giving the straps of the map case and satchel she had slung over her shoulder a tug to keep grip on them, then stepped in the door, past the man who was just stepping out. As Faythiel entered, she smiled, taking down the veils from her hair and face as her eyes adjusted to the dimmer lighting. Her silver hair was kept back in a braid, light whisps fell down around her face as the veils had mussed up her hair slightly when she pulled them off, the light caught a few gold colored streaks in her hair as she moved to a table, taking a seat. "A glass of water will do for now, thank you.." She said to the tender who came by. With that, she sank into her seat, relaxing, taking in hand the small pendant she wore around her neck, seeming to utter a silent prayer as her eyes closed briefly, only to reopen as her drink was brought to her. She took a large sip, allowing her eyes to scan fully over the inside of the tavern that was mostly empty, though she did nod a polite hello to the two Lalafel who occupied a nearby table.
