Thanks for the helpful responses, everyone! I've found a lot of RP going on and a bit to weasel my way into. However, at the risk of generalizing, it seems most of the people loitering around looking for RP are looking for that flirty type of RP, but then that seems to be a big thing in most RP hot spots, so I don't know what I was expecting. I'll keep trying though. Thanks again.

Aha! There we go. I'd only checked the Quicksand a handful of times, but went just now and it's quite bustling despite the hour. I was mostly checking Carline Canopy and Drowned Wench, but now I remember most of the RP being in Ul'dah. *facepalms* Either way, thanks! Glad to see RP is still alive and well. I was worried! Now, time to poke around.

Hi, guys! So, I'm just getting back into the game after a fairly long hiatus, and I've noticed... I'm not seeing any RP lately, at least not in cities! This site still seems quite active, though, so I'm going to guess the RP hasn't vanished. In the two weeks I've been back, I've seen RP twice and weaseling my way into them wasn't very successful. Is it all in the housing districts now, or did I miss a memo? Are there new hubs? Someone fill me in, please!

Been about half-and-half for me so far. Some of the voice-overs have been surprisingly good, but I've noticed a few that have made me cringe. Papalymo nearly gave me a migraine as well as the priest in the Church of Saint Adama Landama; that's about as far as I've gotten in the story line, but I've found I'm much more fond of the female voice-overs in this game than I am of the male voice-overs thus far.

I'm also new, having just migrated from another MMO (not yet officially as I still play both, but the guild housing next patch is looking to seal my fate for the next few months) and looking for role play as well. I'd be more than interested in RPing with you sometime; my free company mates are my close friends and are also looking to expand their connections in the community, so if you want to get together at some point we could set something up. Hi there! If you're at all interested, me and a few friends who've just migrated here have started a free company with a similar theme and are looking for contacts and to expand our role play a bit. The company serves quite a few purposes; in that its main goal is simply to make money, it's rather similar to yours. However, we're role playing a group of tradesmen from all niches who've come together to focus solely on goods of the finest quality by any means; our gatherers will be supplying it as raw material whereas our mercenaries will be doing a bit of dirty (but perfectly legal!) work. That said, it sounds like there's quite a bit of room for RP there; if your character is looking for supplies and part-time employees, I'd really like to set something up! I'm sure my company mates will be as keen on it as well if you're interested, hopefully netting us all a healthy amount of RP all around. Cheers! ^^
