Credelie

Credelie is a painter, few of her other talents compare to her skill with a brush. She typically does not do much other than paint, and try to sell her paintings- when she's not busy with her work at the Limsa Lominsa Garden, that is. Be they hanging in an inn, someone's house, or on sale at a street corner, they are often unmarked and unsigned, save for the often short title of the piece scrawled on the back. Of course, despite her anonymous behavior, she does get out every now and then. If interested, one of your characters could come across her on a street, stumbling about nervously as she carries more supplies than she should, or out in a field somewhere, painting in a dangerous location. Despite her reclusive behavior, she is all too willing to paint a location or a person for a low price. The outcome usually being, at the very least, easy on the eyes. I. Basic Info Character: Credelie Zevaldieux. Linkshells: None. FC is LLGA, Limsa Lominsa Garden. Primary RP linkshell: None! II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy! The heaviest shit ever. I often value the quality of RP as a little more important than the game itself! It's a really weird view to have, I admit, but it's how I work. Games just usually aren't that fun to me without a lot of RP. I enjoy OOC shenanigans and PvE as well, but RP is what makes it all fun to me. Also, my posts are typically very long and descriptive, which can take a little longer than most posts, sometimes. Views on RP combat and injuries: My characters are typically underpowered and prone to death. Whatever happens, happens- I won't metagame to try and fix any character deaths or injuries, unless it becomes extremely important to another person or FC that the character stays alive. In FFXIV, deaths will probably not happen a lot, though. If ever. I can't imagine making another alt, grinding all those classes again- it's so convenient just to have one character! I tend to avoid RP combat, if only because it's often done very poorly. I go on a case by case basis, though! If I know it'll go smoothly, then I'm all for it. Views on IC romance: It's important stuff! Romance RP is my favorite, ranked just above very long story arcs. It adds so much more depth and meaning to an RP, I feel. I've been doing them for a long time, though, so I'm probably just accustomed to them. ERPy romances are great, too! As long as it's not entirely ERP. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I'm not entirely sure what this means, I assume 'non-romantic RP in general', which is also very fun! Typically, my characters have some issue that leads into very long story arcs- for example, Credelie's nightmares and visions of terrible places. But just in case this was talking about family stuff, typically my characters do not have family members that make appearances ICly, just hinted at. Family RP is not my style. Views on lore: Lore is super duper important in RP. I mean, I'm willing to go outside the boundaries of it, sometimes, (for example, an engineer character making things that don't exist in the game, or a summoner accidentally summoning some horrible monster from another dimension) but typically I try to stay inside the lore of a game as much as possible. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I use /say and /em, interchangeably, depending on what my character is doing. If my character is doing the same emote for more than one post, and just talking, I'd likely just use /say. IC Linkshells are fantastic, too- exactly the thing I came here to look for. III. Hiya, hiya! I'm Credelie, and I've been RPing for a gorillion years. I started back in City of Heroes, and have been hooked on it ever since. One of my friends suggested this game to me, and after a few weeks, I can definitely say, it's a pretty good game. Unfortunately, as with most MMOs I've played, it becomes just a little stale after so much of doing the same thing-- and, here I am, looking for RP! I've got an FC, but they don't nearly RP as much as I would have hoped them to. I'm lookin' more for a Linkshell of RPers, or something of that sort. I may just check out that 'Intermission' one, but suggestions are nice! A little more about me, though. Typically, I'm pretty heavy on RP. I usually value RP as much (if not a little more) as gameplay, so typically I don't farm PvE things unless it's for the sake of RP or helping some friends. Normally, my style is making underpowered characters and characters with curses, or some glaring flaw that is bound to be their doom. I've been trying to keep it pretty light-hearted, though, in FFXIV! For the sake of experimentation! My current main character- probably, my only one, too, since making alts in FFXIV seems to be pretty difficult- is Credelie Zevaldieux. A shy, failed Arcanist gone painter, utterly broke and plagued by nightmares of someplace darker than Hydaelyn. I have her ICly paint other characters and scenes, while taking screenshots and trying to make them look painty. For example, this, or this.
