Most expensive house goes to the most deserving group that can raise that gil among them. It seems rather fair. Cutthroat and competitive, but fair.

Personally, I was not discouraged by the prices that were announced yesterday. I am quite new to the game, but, to me, outrageously priced items are just another challenge to overcome. So what if it costs 300 mil for a house. If the FC has 100 members (and I get that they don't all have 100 active, money-making members), it would only cost 3 mil per person. That doesn't seem outrageous to me.

Good afternoon House, I am coming to the end of my first month playing the game and last week decided I really liked the idea of your Linkshell and decided to commit to a making my main character a member of this family, if you will have me. I played a lot of World of Warcraft and was an avid roleplayer in the early years. In that game, I was a member of a House guild, so I am somewhat versed in the idea of being a household and working together for the betterment of our name. My character is an Wildwood Elezen named Fermont Marchand. I am currently at work, or I would upload a screenshoot. I'm also Level 28 Gladiator, soon to start working on unlocking my first Job; Paladin. I have left my entire character open because I want to be able to cater to the needs of the LS. My only real interest is committing to the Paladin/Protector/Knight role of my Job. I am more than willing to pick up other things as necessary, but the character persona has not been fully realized just yet. I play pretty regularly, and am ready to bust out into the RP scene. I would like to establish a connection as part of this LS before I attend any community events though. I live in the United States in the CST time zone and usually play between 8PM and 2AM my time, with varying times on Fridays and Saturdays (my free days). I have a lot of free time at work for forums as well, so staying updated and involved will be an easy task! I would love to hear from someone in-game, or even on here. Thank you, Fermont Marchand

Not to sound like a complete and utter new person, but what's a Phial of Fantasia? -
Salutations! I am new to the game and was browsing the forums and stumbled across this Garden. I feel like it could be a very good atmosphere to develop my character. I've posted a brief introduction to my character on the Welcome Desk. I went to the website and tried to click to enroll in classes and the page that comes up is blank. I thought maybe my AdBlocker was playing tricks on me, but still was unable to get to the class registration. If you could please read my intro, and advise how I can apply, then I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you, Little Miss Kikimo

I didn't read the rest of this post, but I really can't believe that they told you that the BIOS update will crash the harddrive. If I had to guess, I would say it blew the motherboard, not the HDD. Newegg has extremely reliable parts, great return policies and instructional videos on how to do everything. I built my first computer on my own, with no complications just by following instructions from Newegg videos.

Rocky Evening for a Promising Future

Thank you for the positive responses so far! I already feel the warmth of the community! I work in front a computer all day, so I usually have time to peruse the forums in my downtime at work. I fall in the Central Standard Time zone and will usually be active between the hours of 8PM and 1AM, with varying times on Fridays and Saturdays (my days off). I would love to get to know you all, both IC and OOC! -
Tossing and turning in a bunk aboard the overnight hull of The Esper Winds, a transport ship advertised to make the trip from Vesper Bay to Ul'dah docks in just one-day's time, lies the transporter's most recent client; a small Dunesfolk Lalafell female. This is her first adventure, her first step outside of Ul'dah was just a mere week ago. But on this night, one thing haunts her dreams, one scene vividly depicted in her mind... Among aisle after aisle of books in a small community library sits a pink-haired adolescent Dunesfolk, reading peacefully as she sways side to side with the rhythm of the lines she is reading. Some racket starts to rumble from outside, but Momo simply hones into every last detail of the book before her. Running the tip of her finger down the page, the Lalafell could feel the dried ink resting on the parchment of the book. This hardback book was no ordinary novel, but, in fact, the girl's first grimoire. Suddenly, the commotion outside began to become much louder and hysteric people could be heard hollering in the distance. Momo Kikimo, palm still examining pages of the grimoire, snaps out of her bewildered trance the mystery of new books always puts her in. As she lifts her head, fire rains down from the sky, crashing through the upstairs apartment and into the library, instantly setting several aisles ablaze. "AAAAANNNNGGHGHHHHHH!!!!!----" the little pale skinned Dunesfolk exclaims in this moment, her greatest challenge; watching everything she had ever known be destroyed in front of her innocent eyes. From the hole in the ceiling, she could see her parent's bed straddling the crater created by this "Calamity". Every book she had ever read, every book she had ever planned to read, she watched smolder to ash, crying out in absolute pain and horror as the place that held her precious memories crumbled as easily as the books within. Momo remained protected by an emerald carbuncle that manifested from the emerald gemstone she has worn upon her forehead since birth, the words of the discovered grimoire manifesting themselves off the page, through this; her most dire moment in life. As she stood in the clouds of smoke that remained of her home, the Lalafell stood tall, with her grimoire tightly in hand, and knew that she could always rely on this book. It has been five years since Momo Kikimo lost everything. Her small apartment, home to her mother, her father and herself, rest just above their family library that had always been open to the public in the Warehouse District of Ul'dah. Since then, she has rebuilt and sold her family library, using the small amount of profit she was able to make as her starting fund for her upcoming adventures. The day she lost everything was the same day she became an Arcanist. So, interested in formal education, this young lady is travelling to Limsa Lominsa to join the Arcanist's Guild in order to hone the power of summoning. It is debatable whether or not she has the aptitude to achieve this ambition though as she can often be found goofing off, talking to her carbuncles, or participating in other childish activities. This short, three foot tall, Dunesfolk girl looks to barely be in her young adulthood, due partly to her childishly pink hair that she keeps lazily pinned up in a bun, messily held together by pure willpower. Her bangs are longer than her face, often obscuring her field of vision as they rest rather unkempt around her face. Each ear is pierced with brilliant silver hoops, though they can often go unnoticed due to the distracting length of her pointed ears. And her ruby eyes glow brighter than any sleigh led by any red-nosed creature of fairy tale. Momo Kikimo is arrving on the docks of Limsa Lominsa and is ready to learn, meet, greet, and grow from this experience, her next, and the next... but, after that, maybe a nap. OOC: Hey guys! I have been playing this game for a couple of weeks now. I've been playing around with character creation, reading up on the lore a little bit and experiencing the gameplay. I've finally settled on little Ms Kikimo here. I've played a few other MMORPGs, but haven't roleplayed in a couple of years. It was always something I had fun doing so I'm hoping to get to know everyone and have some fun together! I joined the Intermission LS as a starting place today, but I am definitely keeping my eye out for a main/permanent FC/LS. I am looking to add flare and attitude to a small to medium sized group. I am also interested PvE/end-game content once I get Momo up to Lv 50 Summoner. I am playing on Balmung. Feel free to side chat me in game or on here.

Because I just saw this template! --MMORPG background I've played World of Warcraft, Aion, and Final Fantasy XIV before the realm was reborn! --RP experience I was involved heavily in RP in World of Warcraft during the early years, FFXIV for a brief period of time, and have been playing Dungeons and Dragons (3.5 Master Race) on and off again for the past year. --Character ideas/info Currently I am tossing around the idea of Mykis'ra having dissociative identity disorder. Mykis'ra is very short, even by Miqo'te standards, and can often been seen with dark bags around his dull green eyes, and his dark blue skin, matching is dark hair and fur, almost make him appear to be sickly. The Keeper's only dignifying physical characteristic seems to be the length of his strong tail. --How did you learn about the coalition? I followed a link from the Loadstone. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I am aiming for a medium to heavy balance. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I am currently 24 years old, and I work for Sharp Electronic's as a Customer Service Representative. I am a member of lower management and my day consists of micro-managing reps and being a liaison between the call floor and upper management. It can be a stressful job, but I like it. EDIT: My job includes developing templates and copy/pastes to help speed up troubleshooting and documenting so, of course, I felt obligated to fill out this template! -
Hhhheeeeelllllllll-ooooooo Eorzea!~~~~ I just bought this game a few days ago and have been re-playing it to see what the new game is like. I am really enjoying the gameplay and am ready to come out to the RP community! I played this game in 2010/2011 on Besaid (I believe?) as a Miqo'te Lancer named Miakis Landis, and was a member of TALE (The Adventurer's League of Eorzea). I had a lot of fun with the small community that I introduced myself to for the few months that I played back then. I've seen on their website that TALE is closed-invitation nowadays, so I am posting on here in hopes to meet some helpful players for PvE(maybe PVP) and RP. At the moment, I am not looking for anything specific from/in a FC/LS. I am still developing my character's persona and story as I learn a bit more about the game and the lore. Currently, I am playing a male Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te Lancer named Mykis'ra Moui. At the moment, my character's background solely consists of being the fifth son from the matriarch of his clan that was deemed unfit to help his family and so he was exiled. Obviously, he's an adventurer of sorts now, but there are definitely some twists brewing up in the ol' noggin! Drop me a tell in-game, on here or post a comment in the post if you would like to meet up in-character. I am usually leveling when in-game, but would love a chance to break-out into the community! Oh yeah! I play on Balmung, by the way. Thank you for you time!
