Thanks for the reply. We decided to go to Mateus early this morning after my friend downloaded the game and got his account set up last night. So far he is in love with this game and wishes he played it sooner. So far my experience on this server has been amazing. I see Roleplayers everywhere in just Limsa where we started and have met a couple friendly people already. I am glad I ended up being pushed to try a new server and I may just have found a new home. Now we are working on unlocking the ability to travel to other major cities and I can see what else is out there on Mateus. PS keep an eye out for Celesta Dazkar, and her Miqo'te newb friend Lo'hert Tia.

So I used to play a few years ago and recently got back into the game. Been playing around on my old main, Emma Reed for a few days to warm back up to the game. Wishing I never left! Anyways, I talked my coworker into checking out the game and he likes to RP occasionally like myself. There is of course one issue, my home server, Balmung, seems to be locked constantly. I really wanted him on my server but we may have to branch out another server. I was looking into Mateus as I noticed it listed here as one of the servers in the community and was curious how strong the RP seems to be there. I figured with the upcoming changes to the data servers, it would be probably best if we make a character on the same as my main server in case there is any chance we can play together that way in the future. Thank you for your time, and looking forward to meeting some of you in game. :)

Yes, I am amazed how friendly this player base on this server have been thus far. I'm really enjoying it. Hopefully I'll see you and others here around in game soon!

No sorry I did not. This is the first time I've used the name Quinn. But forgot to add SWTOR to my list of MMOs, lol. Only played it for the first month though.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I have not yet seen or checked out the Wiki, but I'll look for that. I'll keep an eye out Saturday but we may have cable TV installed that day, (should only take a few minutes I hope). Overall, I hope soon I'll be able to jump right into Roleplaying, still relatively low level and I like to get my level up a bit so I am able to get around more into the world. But if you see me about, I will RP! Hoping today to poke around some too. Looking forward to meeting you guys!

Let me start off by saying I am happy to have found this site. Which I admit, I did a google search for, but hey, at least this site and community exists! I want to let you know I am brand new to Final Fantasy XIV, but not MMOs. After looking up info from this site I decided on joining Balmung and my character is a Miqo'te-Seeker of the Sun, named Quinn Blade. My MMO experience dates back to January 13, 2003 when I first started Everquest. While I was on the RP server, I did only basic RP here and there. My biggest MMO RP experience was in Star Wars Galaxies where I RPed night and day for about 2 years straight before the NGE occurred. (For those who played the game, you know what I'm talking about) I moved on to WoW and RPed there on occasion. I also have dabbled in several other MMOs, EQ2, Rift, Tera, LoTRO, CoH/V, Aion, and probably missing one or two there. I just like MMOs. It has been quite a while since I've gotten back into the swing of Roleplaying and I am eager to jump right back into it. I've now played this game for a week, dabbling into the mechanics, still a newb yes, but I'm getting the hang of it, and I really am enjoying it so I like to make an RP home here. I plan to be a medium-heavy RPer, as that is what I miss most about playing in MMOs. So I guess looking forward to meeting more people and joining up with some of you in game!
