Hello! So after along hiatus and me messing things up with my last FC (due to IRL things needing to be dealt with so much, hence my absence), I've decided to come back to the game. and to RP. My character is a duskwight elezen from sharlaya. She is an astrologian who also does fortune telling. she's very pretty, and I enjoy playing her. But I've had basically this same character for nearly 4 years, and the RP or her development has really gone nowhere. Sometimes because the FC's I was in died off, or I was displeased with how things were going on around me. I'm now beginning to enjoy playing red mage. it's been one of my fave jobs for like literally decades. And I'm pleased with it so far. Do you think I should maybe reroll the character? Like start fresh with a phantasied character? If so... a Miqote? Are they to common around here anymore? Basically I'm just looking for ideas, for your input. If you found yourself in this sort of circumstance, what do you think you would do? Besides post on an RP forum and ask for people's advice?

The kind of characters I like to play... those that are helpful to others. A deep backstory (usually have the character's WHOLE backstory written before i even start rp'ing).. something about them their friends wouldn't know or suspect.. things liek that, the usual tropes. But............... I decided to stick with Elezen. Specifically Duskwight. I played a Dusk for a bit, and I found them to be fascinating. Yes, I LOVE the Keeper of the Sun lore.. but the fact I can throw a stone in any direction and hit a Miqote really turns me off to them. And Hyur... meh. I need something different I guess. I'm making a fresh start for myself, so that means I'm rerolling my character. Buuuuuuut I can't decide to what! So help me decide! I like playing elezen, but miqote seem fun too! So what shall my new gal be? Elezen or miqote?

So I had a question.. Does it specify anywhere in lore about reincarnation? I know this might be a silly question, but I'm coming up with a little rp twist plot thing, and I would like to be accurate to lore. Do characters reincarnate, and is there anyway for them to have glimpses of that past? Is it like your own aether recycling? Thank you in advance for your help!

How about this..what's the likelihood someone could find a fairy and bond with it? Possible but rare, right? For a time I considered having my character be a summoning mage... like use the egi, but also be able to use fairies. Like the class switch would be ooc only. But such might be reaching heh

Hello. I had a couple questions, I hope you guys can help. Would it be possible for one of our characters to beat a Primal? Is that something only the Warrior of Light can do, or someone that has the Echo? Which is the WOL has and all. Summoners.. would lore restrict a character being a summoner, due to the fact you would have to be in close proximity to a Primal for that? Am I remembering that right? Thank you for your help

I have a real hard time choosing gear.. or knowing just what is the best gear for me. I'm playing Paladin right now, level 54. I love the job. My main goal is to have very high Vitality, and then Strength. And then Dexterity. So is there a chart somewhere that has the gear progression for Paladins? See in FFXI, there were numerous sites that had like.. well you can look at your level and then the site, and see what is the best gear for that level. Does such a thing exist for XIV? Hello! So I'm finalizing my character's backstory..but I need a little more to go on. And I think this is a good place to get that info from the lore gurus! I know that Ishgard has 4 main houses basically holding political power. But is it possible there are.. or ever have been.. more houses? Sort of minor houses, or upstarts. Would the 4 houses allow such a thing? I know honor is important for Elezen, and that extends past Ishgard, right? The Duskwright and Wildwood Elezen would hold the same values, wouldn't they? So me and my friend got up at 6 this morning to be able to get onto an RP server. We were waiting for Balmung to open up, but it never did. Buuuuuut Gilgamesh did, briefly. So we jumped on it. So now after 3 days of trying we're in game! But now we have another lil problem, at least I do. I'm playing Conjurer, and so I started in Gridania. He's playing THAU, so he started in Ul'dah. So as stated before, we wanna rp and level together.. is that going to be possible. I mean is it possible for a low level like me to get to Ul'dah? Or do I have to go through the storyline, which could take a bit. It's been a while since I played, but it is possible to walk between cities, right? I mean maybe even with an escort.. Opinions?

So I'm trying to get back into the game.. and I'm bringing my friend into it with me. I bought him the game yesterday, we got our RP stories all figured out, made our characters... but we haven't been able to get on a server. I'm to the point of total frustration/ragequitz. But I really wanna play the game and be able to heavy RP. Does anyone know if the RP community is strong on other servers.. like one I can actually play the frelling game on? I'm getting desperate here..

I'm willing to stretch lore if it makes some sense, if it serves for a good story. As long as the lore isn't destroyed. No fun then. Hello there. My name is Ashley. While I am fairly new to the game.. kinda.. See I pre-ordered the collector's edition of FFXIV before it came out. I'm kind of in love with the whole FF series. And I had played FFXI since it's second year. Anywho.. I'm not to smart, so i didnt realize my old comp couldn't handle FFXIV. So I had to not play.. until I got my new laptopYAY. So last night I re-registered and made a character, just to try it out. And I'm liking it so far. The advantage is that I'm really really familiar with FFXI, so alot of this is familiar to me. So here's the quandry.. I love love RP. Even when I was the only one.. like anywhere.. in FFXI, I still interacted as my character. Heavy RP'er and all. So now I find this site.. and I'm looking for a heavy RP LS. I'm not 100% sure as to what my character is going to be. Hume ERRRRRR Hyur.. maybe Mithra ERRRRAAARRR Miqo'te. I would love to play a Miqo'te.. but when I started in Windurst ERAAAAARRAA Gridania.. well almost all the other characters there were Miqo'te. Kinda made me think... well I don't wanna be what everyone else is.. So what do you think? Any suggestions for a good active RPLS? What kind specifically? Well I don't know.. I mean my character would be new to adventuring and all. That's almost as far as I got. Like I said, I'm new to alot of this stuff.
