I see what you mean by that, both of you bring some very interesting points up. Though I know that RP sessions can be very long and exhausting, i think what im trying to bring forth is some kind of hybrid between OOC and IC (Im a heretic and should be slain for my blasphemy, i know) Where, you're constantly in character, but you dont have to be actually DOING something, a kind of light RP, ((for example: U'lcer and U'mbrella happen to see each other in Horizon, they salute each other and begin talking about the weather in Thanalan of late)) To have no barrier between RP and OOC, basically, letting the whole game be one gigantic RP. It sounds difficult to acheive honestly because everyone has their own way of seeing things and of course there would be drama, but sometimes a little drama goes a long way! I find this discussion VERY interesting actually, its somewhat like a clash of two worlds and im very much enjoying discovering the status quo in roleplaying on FFXIV.

Quite hard to find full-time roleplay FC/LS isnt it? I imagine it goes against what a lot of the people want in a roleplay, but i dont like it when the roleplays are all scripted out already, I may sound really picky.. But I feel like an RP should be done on the spot, with reactions purely in character and no one else. I feel like, when you make an RP character, it shouldnt be a portal to your real OOC self, but stay as someone who you give role to. GOD I sound picky, im sorry if I spike anyone wrong with this..

My FC is an RP styled one. It has been empty but I have opened it to growth lately. The basic of the story of it is publicly its sort of a humanitarian/disaster aid unit of the Ul'dah military manned mostly by "civilians". In reality the Red Wings is an intelligence unit of the Flames, gathering information on the other city-states as well as the garleans. They also operate and guard the Royal Hall of Records. PM me here or in-game if this sounds interested. Also note that despite the smaller nature of the FC, it is growing and I also have two active LSs I could add you two if you like. Is it very good orientated? It sounds very interesting, though my character's alleigance is already with Gridania considering they took him in and taught him healing so im not sure how that would work in your favor. But ill look into it!

Though im glad for this invitation, I doubt a fully good oriented FC would mesh well with my characters darker ambitions and I doubt the dream of wiping off many hundreds of miquo'te is one that HoD would be very pleased in honestly, hehe.

Hello, I've recently been added to the roleplay roster of Balmung so I know little to nothing of its inhabitants. What I do know is that I would need some sort of FC and/or Linkshell for my character; Y'khin Blacke. Originally from the Jaguar tribes, unfortunate events have led to him being blinded in the right eye, preventing from any job that could require depth perception. As such he now learns in the art of healing, seeking to heal his wounded eye and follow his revenge using the same weapon used to hunt and wound him, the spear. ((Planning on getting to WHM 50 before using the fantasia potion to fix his eye and go DRG soon after to exact vengeance, building plot really but I leave no room for retconning, If you think i could join you, Ill have to warn you that Y'khin isnt the most energetic type and will inevitably have conflicts with working with/associating with other members of the jaguar pack, but i think a little conflict goes a long way in building interesting stories, ALSO, note that I play on a Playstation 3 system, though it doesnt alter my skill with the game and though I have a functional keyboard, i simply thought it would be fair to let people know.)) ((Im looking for a group of people that dont slip out of roleplay, permanent roleplaying while online is really a must since i've had some pretty bad experiences with roleplaying when others are not, it doesnt have to be heavy RP, simply still in character. Though Y'khin IS out for vengeance, he is not rude. He follows the "Respect is earned" Mentality but gives everyone, except Jaguar clan miquo'te, a fair chance at obtaining this.)) So please! Very well, yes. I am quite curious about this courrier buisness.. ((Though, as my introduction post is layed down, I am quite new to the roleplaying in this game, i do have the desire to build lasting relations with people who enjoy eorzea as much as I do.)) I have been rejected from many companies and societies for my lack of ability to fight. You see, im blind by the right eye. Though this doesnt affect me much day to day, it does cause me troubles in judging how close or far things are from my person, for this very reason pretty much any fighting class (Except for basic healing spells) Becomes unavailable to me. I only wish to make myself useful and maybe find a few friends in the process, who knows. Salutations people of Hydaelyn. Mind not the common adventurer armed with simple knowledge and ability, but note the desire to strive and the firery ambition I have been blessed with. I have experience of Eorzea and, quite honestly, wish to expand my horizons. Dabbling in light to mid roleplaying in the past I am afraid to bite off much more than I can chew here and the simple fact of writing these words honestly leaves a pinching feeling my pride. I progress on the Gilgamesh server, I quite enjoy its friendly community but am saturated with plain grinding and levelling. With the constant annoyance of people who do not understand the world we all live in, or choose not to. It should be considered folly to underestimate the sheer power of Ifrit or to doubt Raubahn's resolution when it comes to the safety of his people. I know that with me comes not a new age. I know that I might not bring about the changes I so dearly wish to apply, but nothing is stopping me from taking a step in the right direction. Let us see what you hold for me Eorzea.
