Thanks for the welcome! And I like that Pixy Stix line, I shall have to assimilate incorporate it into my collective vernacular. (Don't mind my occasional Trekkie nerding. LLaP, yo.) I think I am going to end up recreating my Dunesfolk BLM on Gilgamesh for simple want of RPing with you guys there; I am currently waiting on SE to fix whatever issue their stupid payment acceptance system is having so I can get more account time (it lapsed this weekend because I simply couldn't get the system to accept my payment!). Suffice to say, as soon as that happens, I will be rolling into Gilgy and introducing you all to my Lalananigans. ^^, I see there are some IC pages here on this site, as well. I absolutely love text-based RP. I certainly hope to do some hardcore threading with some of you around here, besides live-time on Gilgy whenever I get to it. Cool staves and pointy hats nearly as tall as our tiny bodies that belie our capacity for unparalleled levels of PAIN and general destruction? What's not to love?! And we are just so freakin' adorable, too. I mean c'mon. Look at our little noses. And our tiny little feet when we dance. And our itsy bitsy hands that wield miniature little staves that RIP you to pieces with a 4k Flare crit. Give or take a few (hundred) points for emphasis, mind. So... hello there! I am still somewhat boggling at this perfect little slice of heaven that the interweb gods deigned to lay before me. I started out an hour or so ago looking up naming conventions to help ground some lore stuff in a fic I am writing (based on and inspired by the members of the light-rp-optional FC I lead on Brynhildr), and somehow or other, I ended up tripping over a Hellsguard botanist and sneezing a Dunesfolk warrior off of Highbridge and boom (headshot!), I was here. Damnable Miqo'te at the Bismark, must've put somethin' funky in me porri— Anyroad holy WOW, what a place. Disclaimer: I didn't even know there were official rp servers or what have you. I didn't think in-game rp was really that big of a thing, but full disclosure: FFXIV is the first MMORPG I have really immersed myself in. I tinkered on WoW and Aion back in the day but never got into them at all. Never had any means to play XI when it came out, but have been an avid FF freak since... gods, forever. Add to that the fact that I have been roleplaying in various other settings (almost strictly forum-based, mind you), and you have an equation that basically equals one severely depraved RPer/FF fanboy who needs to make his two loves meet. Which apparently they do really well on this site... and on servers I don't belong to (yet) in-game. Hmmmm... So yeah, hi. I am kind of super excited to be here. And I kind of want to just kersplode in moogle dances and tonberry twirls and generally discombobulate until my repressed character ideas and storylines just sort of swallow up the continent of Aldenard and E-Sumi-Yan confesses his undying love to me and— Dear heavens but I am getting carried away. tl;dr—HI LET ME LOVE YOU! :moogle: Also, if you need a name to call me besides Totoroki (a character I am whisking into existence for this site/soon Gilgamesh activity, I hope), go with Thatch or Thatcher. I have grown accustomed to the members of my FC calling me that since it is the name and nickname of my Main there. So, yeah. And uhhhhhh random fun facts because everyone likes those... I am a (semi)professional musician (a significant portion of my income comes from music stuff, so yeah), I have the best boyfriend in the world (also a gaymer and an even more avid RPer than I could ever be, who will probably show his face around here soon too), and I speak more than one language. I decided to go with my Dunesfolk character instead because tiny Lalafell black mages are really just so much cooler than everything.
