  1. n6MT2fwmgtI This one fits Maya (For reasons BEYOND just the name, I swear ). Maya's hard to get down for very long, although for a different reason than the song's eponymous Maya. She's of the view that sadness clouds judgement, and it can easily make performing tasks harder. As such, she doesn't let herself get sad unless she's both alone and lacking in stuff to do, since that's the one time (As she sees it) that you have no current business. ...And she is also, as most people who've met her can attest, very, VERY 'spur of the moment'. She can forget grudges literally minutes after being wronged, and she tends to base her opinions on what is happening at that very moment, hardly ever looking far into the past and never into the future. She is sanguine almost to the point that it must be intentional. It is.

  3. I'm quite partial to the opening of Haukke Manor, as well as that small tune that plays right before the boss. They both help to get across just how 'Grandiose' the manor is. I also like the music that plays in Little Solace, and pretty much all of the 'F.A.T.E. Boss' music. Oh, and also:
  4. I. Basic Info Characters:Only Maya, so far. Which means that, logically... Primary character:Maya Kazumi Linkshells:Adventurers Guild (Which, if I recall correctly, is an OOC LS. At least, I hope so, or I'm going to look really weird. ) Primary RP linkshell:None insofar, but I hope to find one soon! [*] II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I tend to use medium with leanings towards heavy. I think. To elaborate, after creating my character's personality (To the point they can be said to have one, at least), I attempt to think as they would on events that happen ingame, which I find makes it easier to define their personality. Views on RP combat and injuries: I have no issue with RP combat, injuries, or even death, on the condition that both sides of the combat agree OOC what's going to happen before they actually do it (Which is probably closer to common courtesy than anything else, when you think about it *Cough cough*) Views on IC romance: I'm perfectly fine with other characters having an IC romance. (It can, after all, add an interesting layer to RP.) However, I would prefer not to have my characters enter an IC romance (Since I don't think I have the RPing skills to feel comfortable doing it yet). Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I have absolutely no issue with this manner of RP, either on the observing or participating ends. Of course, it'd be nice if you asked me OOC before you went around telling people I was related to you or something. Views on lore: I try to remain consistent with the lore as much as I can, and as such I generally like it when people can find creative ways around some of the lore restrictions. I do not, however, mind it if Lore is broken, if the lore in question is RPer-unfriendly. (I.E. Your character is the only non-padjal white mage in Eorzea. I'd be fine if you justified that as your character being a very creative conjurer who found a way to emulate white magic without actually using Succor. I'd also be fine if your character was an actual white mage...Although my characters would probably be hard-pressed to believe you at first. ) Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I'm fine with pretty much any chat form, so long as it's justified. (I.E. Party chat is just a linkshell made specifically for talking with your in-battle allies, the character sending me that 'Tell' is close to me and whispering, etc.) The only chat function I'd find hard to justify would be shout (Simply because of the RANGE of it), but everything else is, as they say, fair game.   5. Hello! As the title, and the location I'm posting this in should (Hopefully) imply, I'm a newbie RPer. So let's just jump right in to the finer details! -MMORPG background I've been playing MMORPG's for almost as long as I can remember. I believe my first was the (Unfortunately now defunct) trickster online, but I've tried almost every MMORPG under the sun by now. -RP experience I've got a few months worth of experience RPing (On a forum). I have almost no experience regarding ingame RP, however, which is something I want to remedy. -Character Ideas Currently, I have the basic concept as well as a few finer details (Which I won't say right now, to stop this post getting unneeded clutter). My character is an impulsive scholar, currently studying ancient Maritime battle tactics. (This might have something to do with the fact she's a raised Lominsan.) She has an almost unnatural talent for speaking before thinking, though, if she notices something she considers interesting. She can make frankly insulting observations without realizing it. -How did you learn about the coalition? I first learnt about it, funnily enough, from the SE forums. Specifically, there was a thread asking about the best servers for RP, and the rest, as they say, is history. -What kind of RPer are you aiming to be? (Light, medium, or heavy?) I would like to be a medium RPer, with leanings towards heavy. I try to make my character as lore-consistent as possible, and I enjoy having consistent characters that slowly develop over time.
