Makes sense. Its starting to sound daunting now. What id give for someone to help me when I do swap, like teach me in game things to do with RP... I feel slightly nervous now. I bet its all good fun though right?

It may seem weird to some, but I don't like making alts. But I suppose temporary ones...Thanks for the idea Im still not sure how RP works, can a character follow his/her own storyline and go to events on the side without it being mixed up?

Hi guys, need help deciding between the servers, as it will either be today or tomorrow that ill do the transfer. Ive also had some really good talks with a couple of people from each server on characters and possible stories, but I cant decide. Would anyone be around to introduce me into the RP world within the server, possibly even in character?

Thanks for the welcome. But Valen isn't a mage, in the backstory, his brother becomes a blood mage. But Valen is at best a swordsman with medium level of skill, not the best and not theworst. Although in his storyline, the Drakengard family always had strong ties to magic, Valen's has yet to unlock but I have a direction id like it to go Its nice to meet you all.

Definitely sounds like Balmung would be the choice at the moment...I do still have to wait to next Friday though. But that would be great. Please feel free to send me a PM if you are still interested.

Thanks for the reply, Ragnar. Well, I have a story im building in my mind, I will write it down. Id like the story to grow around him, and maybe become one where others would like to join in, for as longas they wish to. Id love for Valen to find a friend during his travels, the whole best friend/fighting back to back thing is one my favourite story arcs, if im using the right words. Id also love to do fight scenes and more. But it does all start with Valen arriving in LL, following just a single clue, leading him here. Would you be interested in building any parts of the story with me, Ragnar? Same question to any that read this. As for the server choice, Ive got until next Friday (28th) to decide as that's when I can afford the world transfer.

Hello to all that glance upon this post, its nice to meet you all. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who would be interested in my characters storyline and would maybe want to be apart of it? Ideally Id need someone to help my character as he arrives off a boat in Limsa Lominsa (if I spelt that right) in search of his sister. The last clue led him to this city... Would anyone be interested in story planning at all, maybe being part of it all?

Greetings to all, (see just like the title of the thread says) is sent to each and everyone of you. I am very new to the RP scene, but its something ive always wanted to try, since I love writing and creating characters, music for them and worlds etc. My favourite character i've created is Valen, ill put more about him later on in this post. Its nice to meet you all, any and all help is appreciated. Time for the template... --MMORPG background Dabbled in a few free to play ones, did try out FFXI for a little bit. But since I had no one to play any mmo with, I don't stay on them for long. Though FF14 is fastly shaping up to be in my top list. --RP experience None im afraid to say. But I really want to try it out. --Character ideas/info Here we go then as promised more about Valen... Valen Drakengard is 25 years old and on a mission. This mission is to find his sister. Taken from him by his brother, Farron Drakengard. Backstory - The Drakengards were once 'familied' with a royal family. Valen's aunt was the Queen of this land. But trouble befell the whole family. Valen's father, Sirion Drakengard was a captain of the guard, but lost his wife to dark magicks (she was killed by a wandering black-robed mage of sorts), which in turn sent Sirion into a dark mind, he became crazed and psychotic and started killing his own troops. This caused the Drakengards to be banished from their home to nothing. Farron Drakengard (the older brother of Valen), went a different path after his mother was killed. He went after the mage in search of answers, but as he did, he succumbed to the magics of him. But something different happened to Farron, his absorbed the magic and became a stronger mage then the one who killed his mother. Now a master of Blood magic, he kills the mage and heads back home, uncontrollably so. He darkens theskies and calls upon the undead to raze havoc. Valen and his sister, Sopheria Drakengard, developed a close bond after their mother died, Farron was jealous of this, which was another reason for him chasing the mage. After V and S were banished they travelled together for a few years until Farron captured her. Farron is now very crazed and not of his own mind. So now, Valen has wandered the lands searching for his sister, in hopes of restoring a bit of light to an otherwise very darkened world. --How did you learn about the coalition? The magics of Google. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Im not sure. Light to Medium maybe? I'll see how it goes. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I work nights, so I may not be on as much as id like. Hobbies? Writing stories, creating small RPGs on RPG Maker, as well as the music for them. I hope that's everything... Nice meeting you all and hope to get RPing. I'll have to swap servers by looks of it though. Im not sure which one to go to. Again any help would be appreciated.
