So, I'm still a bit new to the game and I'll be getting the Collector's Edition on PS4 within a few days. At least that's what it says when I track my package from the UPS site lol. "Listening to Garnet's Theme from FFIX" I was wondering if Gilgamesh is still a strong server for Role-Playing? I also was wondering if once I'm in the game, if perhaps someone would be able to help me along the way with understanding RP a bit more? Kind of like a mentor or tutor. Thanks

Hey I'm relatively new myself and I wouldn't mind tagging along with you either, friend On the PS3, I've played in Gilgamesh and I thought it was pretty cool. I can't get over the play they recreated from FF9, "I Want to be Your Canary"!

I totally appreciate it, friend! As far as other content released, would I be able to obtain that somehow? For instance, the F.A.T.E. that gave out fireworks and swimwear?

For example, Adolar is a Keeper of the Moon but he has a Highlander name from getting adopted into a Highlander family. It can be as basic as that. Most people don't make too much of a fuss about names though, from my experience. W'akiba Nunh! lol Hmm...I wonder how I could change his name based on my back story so far. Any ideas?

Oh cool. At least that makes more sense with my character since he's Seeker of the Sun. I may need to refine his name too unless you think it sounds cool lol. Does it sound too "Japanese-ish"?

So I haven't played FFXIV in a while since I had it on my PS3. I'm getting it on my PS4 very soon in the next couple days though so YAY! I was curious about a few things however: Did I miss the opportunity to visit the Aesthetician and try the new hairstyles? Is Lightning's hair still obtainable along with the outfits? Is there Black Dye for outfits anywhere? Could I get some type of Solider Armor that Cloud Strife wears with the sleeves and all? Individual Player Housing isn't out yet right? Only Free Company housing? How is the Role Playing Community now since the launch of the game? What about in Gilgamesh and Balmung? Has Sub. cards been issued in retail stores yet? I also suppose not using someone's name in a sentence unless you know that person is a bad idea too as in real life there aren't any floating names above our heads haha! But wow thanks! So I had a few questions about Role-Playing as I'm still learning some about it. 1.) Is it dumb to have a song that is played during certain moments within the RP? For instance, like when Cloud lost Aerith from a stabbing by Sephiroth. Maybe have a sad song play. I tend to listen to certain songs throughout my adventure. 2.) If I'm in a battle and suffer damage like a cut to the leg, could I take a step further and limp for example? Or if I was knocked out, maybe lay in a bed for a bit to recover. 3.) Would Role-Playing solo be encouraged by RPers alike around me? 4.) God-Modding is a definite no no correct? lol Isn't that like when people practically make up the actions by themselves for other characters? So I've been thinking of a back story for my Miqo'te and wanted to know what you guys and gals think of it? Now, before I begin, I'm not too sure yet about the lore of the Miqo'te but I believe they are more of the tribal type if I'm correct. I hope someone could aid me in that as well hehe. My character, Rakiba Venclaire grew up in a small village (Figuring out a name) within a forest away from Eorzea. Only being a mere child at the age of 4, he was learning what it meant to be a true warrior from his father and was always sent out into the wilderness on these trials that tested him in various aspects of survival. Though, not everything seemed like a training exercise to him as he saw it more as a chore and a game at times. Lugging around wood logs to gain strength, participating in races all the time with his friends to gain speed, and playing games of dodging rocks for eye-coordination... When he wasn't doing these things, he did spend a lot of time with one friend in particular, (Still figuring out her name) They would go out on walks, talk about the world and each other, and even just enjoy the night sky laying in the tall grass. Everything seemed just perfect for Rakiba, until one tragic rainy night... Myths were told of a creature that was neither seen nor heard that caused destruction. No one knew it's name or knew it's motive for the slayings. They just witnessed the deaths of many loved ones and the ruins of homes they once had. Unfortunately, that creature paid a visit to Rakiba's village. Rakiba was out in the forest in a state of thought, gazing upon the moon and stars above when he heard sounds of screams echoing through the trees. He sprinted as fast as he could back toward the village in hopes that his parents were safe as well as his friends. Upon arrival....all he saw was a place he once knew as a safe haven.. set aflame. He searched frantically for his parents only to find his mother impaled by a tree branch within his tent. Desperately trying to remove the branch that was pierced through her stomach it just caused her more pain. She stopped him from his efforts and just held out her hand looking up into his face knowing her last breath was near. (Still figuring out her last words) With tears rolling down his cheek in disbelief that this was all happening, he knew he had to escape to save his own life. He encountered his best friend while making a run toward the forest, holding onto her hand tightly as they sprinted together. Trees were being uprooted behind them from this creature of myth as the forest became destroyed. The power of this whirlwind caused Rakiba and his friend to be thrown off balance being in control of the wind as they were tossed about. Holding onto his friend's grasp she slipped a necklace into his hand as a reminder of her knowing her death was certain. Their grasp loosened as she screamed his name looking into his eyes one last time. He was thrown through tree branches into a ditch as the uprooted trees toppled over him entrapping him. His friend's cries were growing faint as he suffered in pain from the injuries going into an un-conscious state. As the rain weathered away and the sun arose again...Rakiba awoken, crying and screaming trying to crawl out of the ditch. Just in the moment that everything he loved was taken from him..he looked up into the clouds and screamed not being able to accept the fact. (Rain now causes his reminder of this moment and haunts him. In my Role-Play, I'd like that friend to be alive and meet him later in his life, maybe have a romantic interest as well. Also still figuring out how he gets to Eorzea.) [align=center] I'll appreciate the assistance in helping this story develop! This is only a rough draft but I hope it's a nice start. Thank you! I could give you some of my characteristics for my Miqo'te. Gosh, I just have so many crazy scenarios running through my head! >.< I will definitely send you a /tell for sure! I think I may need an opinion on my name though. I've asked before in a linkshell and the general response was that it was noble and kind of Japanese: Rakiba Venclaire. heheh I could just throw in that apostrophe: Raki'ba Venclaire.

Hello everyone! I'm excited to start my adventures once more! *Listening to Song of Memories from FFIX* I'd love the opportunity to make new friends in my time to come and would love to RP right off the bat!... I want to learn the lore... Learn about my ancestors of the Miqo'te... and learn how to be a better Role-Player. Maybe have an adventurer tag along with me all the way to the end! I want my character to have a romance even as well and to experience sadness. Just have an Epic fantasy story told out throughout my playthrough. Hello to all! :moogle: I've been on FFXIV when I still had my PS3 under the name, Rakiba Venclaire and I just recently was able to test out the PS4 version for Beta Phase 2 testing. I...LOVE it! No more odd clay-mation movement, more characters, bet- ... To get to the point, I still was kind of new to the RP world and have missed out on a lot. I was hoping to make some new friends and maybe meet up with those I used to play with. I remember the time I saw a recreation of the theater play, "I Want to be Your Canary" from FFIX, and was crying nostalgia in the grass behind the stage in Gridania. :cactuar: Also, since I've missed out on events and hair, is there anyway I can get everything still? I missed Lightning .

I'm not sure if anyone remembers me, but I have gone by the name of, Rakiba Venclaire when I played ARR a while back on my PS3.. Well good news, I have a PS4 now and it's time to get back into the fray! But to the point as hand, I'm in need of some serious help and maybe a guide. Someone that could help me along the way in-game and aid me in becoming a better Role-Player. I want to know the lore, I want it all! lol I'd totally appreciate it! :chocobo: P.S.
