I'll go with hello though for some reason it feels abit off. Anyways, I am Sieg and new to FF14 roleplay though not new to the concept in general. Joined Balmung to play with a friend of mine but she up and poofed thus I ended up wandering the web and miraculously (quite easily) found this site. Now to go down the bullet points of the handy template. My background in MMORPGs starts in runescape when I was a wee lad, moved onto WoW when I was slightly older which I played extensively until I realized.. it had become dull. Moving on I played Rift for a few years before hopping to Tera and then I finally joined this game. Now my RP experience... well I'll just leave that one up in the air, I have never considered myself a great roleplayer. I started on a forum about eight years ago, had a good time developed my writing abit came to enjoy it before magically.. the board died about a year ago. Afterwards I dabbled with RPing in Tera though nothing extremely extensive. Due to this I consider myself a light roleplayer, I can develop a story for my character and write a detailed profile for him but really I just can't stay in that mindset all the time while playing a MMORPG though I do try. Now.. anything from real life? Nope. Lastly character ideas, I am still developing this. I have the general idea of the personality which I wish to aim for and will be comfortable playing for extended periods now I just need to research lore, race information ect for a meager back story. Details? My general response to that is... find me to find out cause it's normally easier that way and more entertaining. Well that's my drawn out introduction, I thank anyone who actually read that and will pat you on the back for reading all of it cause I probably could have summed it up in three sentences. I also probably could have avoided the grammatical errors that'll probably make someone's eyes bleed.

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Light The reason behind this is that even though I am capable of detailed, literate roleplays and I do develop my characters it is not always my main priority. I do not always log into the game wanting to roleplay thus I am not always in character. If I am not in the mood for roleplay I will try to "escape" incharacter before just outright saying no ooc. So if this happens to you please don't be overly offended. Views on RP combat and injuries: I have never had much experience with this category of roleplay. I would like to avoid permadeath though overall I don't mind the idea of roleplaying a injury. Views on IC romance: I have no problems with it, in fact I enjoy the concept of it. To the extent which it is taken is up to my character and everything must remain IC, things my character does will not reflect what I do vice versa. As for ERP, I am supportive of the idea of it and just see it as another version of roleplay, whether anything happens though depends on both my mood/my character's cause honestly it isn't something I seek out frequently. My views on deeper IC romance, marriage, family ect. I don't have one though I will normally shy away from it due to my own flightiness at times. No point tying someone down and then end up not being around. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I have no problems with this category, I don't look down on any type of roleplay and am open to almost anything as long as my character would actually do it. Generally it comes down to someone asking me to try something IC or OOC and depending on who I am playing I'll give it a try or won't. Fairly simple. Views on lore: Now this.. this I need to research. I have no problem using lore in RP but as of right now I am not anywhere near knowledgeable enough to use it. Possibly in the future if I find what I am reading of some interest. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I have always only seen say chat as the appropriate version of roleplay. If I ever join a linkshell dedicated to roleplay than possibly that but in the end I would rather just do it how I see properly which is character to character. III.
