I'm new to the server and am yet to have anything at 50. Once I am comfortable with my character in the game itself, I'll switch over to my preferred mode of Heavy Rp. Views on RP combat and injuries: Rping combat in-game I find to be rather stilted and inflexible, but forum based can be a great deal of fun as long as all parties involved follow the basic RP formalities (no godmoding, etc.). Temporary injuries are fine, and can make for some challenging RP, but anything lasting should be planned beforehand. Views on IC romance: This can add a great deal of depth to RP and I am open to getting Marquis involved. That said, I have been in some great IC romances and one very terrible one. Both parties have to be respectful of boundaries and always have a separation between IC and OOC. Like any real relationship communication is key, both IC and OOC, and I would never engage in an IC romance with someone I was not comfortable with OOC. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Of course! MMO rp is all about exploring the character and immersing myself in the world in context of the game, family ties, friends, and rivals are all welcome. Just don't walk up and introduce yourself as my long lost cousin, twice removed, on my mother's side, former roommate. Views on lore: I prefer to operate within the lines of Lore and if I am breaking the world I don't mind if someone where to politely inform me. Though, I am not against bending the world to fit my character, as long as there is a believable reason and the Story makes sense. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Party chat I consider to be OOC unless otherwise stated. It's been a while time since I've last RPed in a MMO, and it's long overdue. I blame real life getting in the way. Shame on RL! Anyway, I digress. As I mentioned before it has been a deal of time since I last preformed online MMO RP, almost two years in fact. I've been running tabletop RPs but all mastering and no playing makes me sour. I am hoping Balmung has the cure for what ails me. Before my hiatus, I played TERA, Rift and spent much time on FFXI in my heyday. Also, I played WoW for five years off and on in a casual, 21+ raiding guild from the start of BC to the end of Cata. I've been a guild officer, raid leader and even guild master. Despite all that, some of my most memorable moments have been rping. Spending hours watching the sun rise and set in FFXI. Running down rifts in, well, Rift. Enjoying the beautiful backdrops in TERA while soloing BAMs with guild mates cheering me on. All good times. Though I am no stranger to FFXIV, I played in beta and still have my pre-order copies of 1.0, I haven't wrestled up my courage to dive back into RP. Until now. So please, take good care of me.
