I hope everything get better soon é_è ! Unfortunately this means that things ARE better. Freelancin' for real money means my career's pickin' up. Yaaaaay

Hey guys, sorry, a huge work project just got thrown my way, and addition to that and IRL commissions/freelance that earn me $, I'm going to have to put the axe on gil comms for the forseeable future. I know that sucks, I've had 3 people just the past 2 days PM me, but real life comes first, unfortunately. As does paying rent. Sorry again.

I've honestly never tried to draw kids. I'm familiar with the proportions and theory behind it, but I've simply never attempted it.

I'll just leave this here Jamie Syvian and Thala’to Relehna on Balmung.

Another one on the books. Thanks to Taiga Jakkya for commissioning this one

Another quicker commission for N'Taeyl Yhash

A quick little commission for Titor Jaraba, a series of 4 busts and expressions.

SORRY! Yes, still taking gil commissions. As it states in the OP, prices are determined by the difficulty of the piece and the amount of detail in the chosen style. The lowest tier would be a sketchy style and run about 100k. Adding in multiple characters, full color, fully body, all that stuff that increases complexity increases the price. Your best solution would be to PM me with a style you want already in mind, as well as a rough idea of the content, and I'll get back to you ASAP when I can give you a quote. EDIT: Also gil prices are slightly higher than cash prices (proportionately), as gil isn't real.

A heartfelt thanks to Ilwe for seeking me out for a commission.

I've not done one before but yeah sure, why not. I'm sure we could work out a decent rate.

I'm re-opening commissions. Been working on new stuff and sketching aimless without a large overarching project for a while. Prices are down, as well. New things:

I preordered the collector's edition for the PS3 just because I wanted the physical goodies AND the in-game goodies, installed it, and found that I never played it because of the poor framerate. I found that I much prefered the controller setup for gathering/farming, but not for doing major endgame content. It has gone almost untouched in my house in favor of PC. That being said, I was thoroughly impressed with the PS4 beta. The addition of mouse support is a huge selling point for me as someone thoroughly entrenched in the PC experience. Visually it seems on-par with the PC version, although since we're currently capped at level 20 a lot of hte more system-intensive visual effects have yet to be seen. Framerates are identical though. The touchpad functioning as a mouse is nice in theory, but I find myself rarely using it because of it's poor sensitivity. That being said, Remote Play on the Vita is freakin' fantastic. When on my local Wi-Fi network, there is barely any latency. SE went through a lot of trouble optimising RPlay features, such as being able to use the front touchscreen as a virtual mouse ((tapping the screen functions as clicking!)) and the R and L buttons automatically remapping to hotbar functionality. It's impossible to read the text in your chatlog, but it's perfect for crafting/gathering/farming mobs on the go. I wandered around my house last night for about 20 minutes grabbing shards. Fun. Being able to switch to a different TV input to watch a bluray while I keep farming on my Vita is a welcome option. In the end, I doubt I'll be switching fulltime to the PS4 version, but it's going to be a much better alternative when I want to sack out on the couch for some grinding while I watch a movie. SE did a good job.

Just a small shameless self-bump to state that commissions are once again open, as well as a few pieces that I've been working on since I started this thread to get the juices flowing.

Many a time I've RPed Selene as being very very dirty. Oftentimes she'll come home and be covered in blood (usually someone else's), wearing a bandage, or in general dirty and grimy. Her hair is oftentimes a mess later in the day. It all boils down to how gritty and "real" you want to get with your character. Although I might raise an eyebrow if you manage to brutally slay 50 people and come out nice and shiny Selene might raise an eyebrow.

One of my favorite things about PC games is customizing my HUD and my UI. Unfortunately, as most of us know, 1.0's UI options were pretty crappy and limited. With the wealth of options that ARR brings us, and the semi-large number of "hidden" options means there's lots of possibilities that might not be apparent at the start. After lots of tinkering, here's my preferred layout for A Realm Reborn: When I play games as beautiful as this, I like leaving as much real estate as possible to actually SEE the screen. The default positions have most of the UI elements slightly inwards, so my first step was to push everthing to the edges, into the corner. The default action bars are 2 stacked on top of each other, but when I push the rest of the stuff to the sides, I can free up some leg room and put them side by side. I have my most-used skills on the left bar, so that one button push will activate them, and the less common ones can be clicked on the side. I would like to permanently remove the Menu Icons on the lower right, but I haven't gotten that far yet. The biggest change I've made is to add a vertical taskbar to the upper righthand corner. Up there I've moved all of my non-hotkey skills, or skills that have a longer cooldown that might not be connected to my main job, which at the moment is Paladin. I've got sprint up there, in addition to my two mount choices. A small gap and there's Return and Teleport, a small gap then Protect/Stoneskin, a small gap and then Raise. It seems to be working out really well, giving me at-hand options without taking up space for things I might need at a moments' notice. The secret to premium space management is overlapping. When I was arranging my HUD, I noticed that the bounding boxes are considerably larger than the things they're boxing. By the precise science of "squinting really hard", I smooshed everything as close together as possible so that the parts I can actually see are pretty flush next to each other. Notice the cluster of boxes in the lower and upper right where lots of things meet. Also, by overlapping my hotbars in the middle slightly I was able to gain almost a whole extra word's worth of chatlog space per line, which adds up quickly in a long RP session. I just thought I'd share a cool HUD option for people and the reasoning behind it. SHARE YOUR UI's BELOW!
