I would adore someone to level with in this game. I'm trying to wrap my head around the way this game works

So I just started the game late last night and have since then remade a character about six times before finally settling on an Elezen named Maeria Burqette. I really have no idea what I am doing in the game other than the couple of level's that I have tried. I would adore some people to to with or even just talk with while I slowly try and learn the game. If anyone thinks they would like to talk with a newbie, please feel free to! Edit because I remade my character. Last time, I swear! Another edit! Am looking for a place in the game to get to know you all, I've seen talk about "backstage".
