First time posting here, so the obligatory sorry if its awkwardly written - taken some time to ponder how to write this. Hello everyone, I go by the name of Kuromi Kaneyama or Kuro in most RP circles on Omega (My RP server in the Chaos Datacenter). Over the last year or so i've been RP'ing a tradionalist Raen from a merchant clan, hailing from the Northern mountains in the Orthard. (Just north of the Azim Steppe). She is apart of their very small but budding western branch, which has permitted me to make many friends and associates in the west as there isen't much RP in the east - exceptions being if characters make travels there or such, but we don't have an active RP scene there sadly. Over the course of these months I have pieced together past connections to a few characters, mainly in the shape of them hailing from the east and having met/traded with her clan at one point or another, which makes for a little additional layer for RP or give one the foundation to build RP upon. It was only this last month I met another person to actually have a character directly involved in her past and it has been great so far. Thus, I am here now looking to expand it on. As for the nature/strenght of the connection to Kuromi, that is entirely up to you - is it a member of the clan that has been send west to join the western branch, or perhaps its a friend long lost to the passing of time? Could even me a rival merchant, or one who has disliked the clan's open trade with everyone rather than just having it be one group of people? For some context, her clan migrates over a good portion of the east, following the seasons to trade in different markets. Thus, anywhere from Kugane to the Azim Steppe is where they can be found. Hey guys^^ I've been playing final fantasy 14 since May and fell in love with the game within my first week. Having been an active player pretty much since everyday and being a roleplayer of some years by now, i've been wanting to dip my toes into the rp-scene of this game for quite awhile...the issue is however where to really begin. I have a core idea of the character(s) I wish to make though the one issue facing me at the momemt is more a technical one than anything else. I am currently on the Moogle Server (I started there since a friend of mine introduced me to the game there), and I realize that a transfer would cost me the house I paid a lot for + it would mean leaving my Free Company behind there. Though if there is an active EU rp server out there one could get into with it not taking serveral weeks of trying (+ a FC company I could join there), I would likely take the jump eventually. So, all in all, i'm seeking suggestions/advice, as i'm entirely new to the face of RP in Final Fantasy 14^^ -Sincerely Lady Saya.

Hello there everyone^^ I am not usually one to post in welcome boards or such as the first thing, but when it comes to this particular game I figured i'd be best to make one as I have a few questions (and just to say hello!). Firstly, a bit of info: I'm a person who has invested a lot of her time into RP in general over the past couple of years, being introduced to MMO rp around 2 years ago and having enjoyed it a lot. Now, I have never stepped foot into final fantasy and have no knowledge of the various games, but as I recall each final fantasy has its own set of lore and such, so I figured it would't be impossible for me to step into rp, as once I have the basics I am pretty much set...well, that and I don't mind it being a learning experiences either : ) Now, my questions for you guys: 1: When it comes to rp within the game, are there any actual rp guilds around and such? I am a person who likes to settle within a group of fellow RP's - i'm fully open to going out and just meeting people ic'ly, but I just feel much more invested if i'm not by myself. 2: When it comes to the actual rp, how difficult is it getting into the basics of the lore? 3: If there's any advice, I would welcome it^^ -Sincerely Saya.
