Julius Caesar said that the Gauls fought naked (I'm not sure how much credence to give that since according to conventional wisdom the Celts invented mail but still...) but I wasn't despairing when I thought about that, I found it interesting. How would a naked army fight? "Almost certainly with spears and large shields", "What would be the weaknesses of such an approach...?" and so on.

I was thinking of this in particular I wasn't sure what would trigger a web filter exactly. Yeah, if you're not familiar with the Xaela tribes it's kind of hard to think of a way to describe a Torgud without using it - although SE actually didn't as it turns out. I liked the idea of a tribe that in their preferred state would violate a closely held taboo of a lot of Eorzians - and then I got to thinking of how such a tribe would fight... ...as in a shoe maker? I want really sure where this should go but it said you could talk about the site here so... I was wondering what would count as unaceptable language in a character bio. I'm planning to write one for a character off the Torgud tribe so I'm going to have to use the word n---- (word five letters for a state of undress) at least once. Is that ok? I mean SE used it on their lore forum when they explained the tribes...

Thank you, the reason I wanted to use that was because I wanted to open with a short dialogue quote and then follow up with a short (few hundred words) character story before moving on to the nitty gritty and none of the other layouts that I found really felt like they left room for that. ...I do have one question actually, see at the top where there's the little tabs for Character, Combat etc. could I change what the tabs say just by copying the text from the edit page and changing it or would I have to do something else? If I wanted to add one could I just copy in what's on one of the previous heading like where it says on that profile. =Combat= ==General== =Tendencies= ==Likes== ::* Item one Could I just change and insert things? =Combat= ==General== =Favorite Hat= ==Favorite Blue Hat== ::* The one with the feathers =Favorite Coat= ==Favorite Winter Coat== ::* The one with the tartan lining - Just as an example mind there's not going to be anything in there about coats.

I'm writing up a character entry for the wiki but it's actually the technical aspect not the writing that's proving to be the problem. He said that the template was by http://wiki.ffxiv-roleplayers.com/pages/Deirdre_Ta%27ea who said it was by http://wiki.ffxiv-roleplayers.com/pages/Bancroft_Gairn And neither of those two are using the same layout! Who would I ask to get permission to copy that layout?
