Elezen last name

So, I've read on wikis about how Elezen first names should sound like, but I have no idea how their last names should sound like. Should it sound French like it's first name or can it be pretty much anything?

 

Also, I'm looking at the sections in the forum and... is it possible that roleplaying in Gilgamesh is rarer than on Balmung?

Elezen surnames can be whatever you desire - there is no distinct rule on what the surname should encompass in contrast to the forename. While I have no experience of Gilgamesh, from reputation Balmung has the largest population of roleplayers so while roleplaying may not be rarer on Gilgamesh - there is most likely less players roleplaying. (Welcome by the way!)

While there are no specific rules to elezen surnames, they are generally French sounding, like their first names.  For example, in Ishgard, the Great Houses are Dzemael, Hallienarte, Fortemps, and Durendaire.  Interestingly, Estinien, the Azure Dragoon, has a surname of Wyrmkiller, although I'm not sure whether or not it's a sort of title and not the name of his House.
