Heavensward, odd download

So I just bought Heavensward and I was under the impression that soon as I bought it and entered the code into the mog station it would simply unlock all the new stuff since I could already seen Au ra in game and such but instead it's given me a download. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but after a little look online the download I'm supposed to get is roughly n 8 GB one, but the one I've got is just 4GB. Should I be worried that I'm downloading what seems to be just half the expansion or is this normal?

One half was implemented in a patch, I believe.

 

This makes sense because if an Au Ra walked into an area with other players that didn't have the files necessary to render said Au Ra, everyone's clients would most likely crash.

Ahh, fair enough. I assumed it was like world of warcraft where all you had to do was purchase the product key, enter it and you'd unlock all the new stuff right away.

 

Time to cry over the 7 hour long download. 0.2MB per second download speed SUCKS nd I'm lucky if it even goes that high
