Introduction, greeting, welcome to whatever this all is. I was partially pulled towards XIV after chancing upon this site, and was really excited to see such a (at least what seems to be) friendly community! I've played a lot of MMOs, and recently gotten in to RPing, but never really tried the combination of the two before now. So, after purchasing the game and a week of attempts at creating a character in Balmung, I'm finally in! 

 

With no real knowledge of the lore of the game, or what MMO RPing is like, I'm taking it at a snail's pace, but I do hope to find some acquaintances through this site that might ease the way to the starting line. If possible, I'd love to be able to join a linkshell that does both raiding and RP (which this site seems like it'll make a bit easier as well), but regardless, I hope to meet and talk to you all here on the forums and in game!

Hey welcome to the community! Glad you could make it to Balmung, I hear it's been pretty rough lately.

 

I wouldn't worry too much about being new to MMO RPing. If you've played MMOs before and you've got a good enough imagination, it should fall into place relatively easily. I'm sure you'll fit right in.
