My main character is a bit of a weapons expert, forgoing many classes and only using ones that use melee weapons (Dragoon, Marauder, Gladiator, and eventually Dark Knight). So I wanted to make an alt that uses magic and I have a pretty solid idea on her character, so I just wanted to do a quick check.

Would it be possible to have a character from a noble house of Ishgard that was destroyed on accusations of heresy?

Yes. I say this on account that there's a quest in Ishgard doing just that early on: Drinking the Pain Away.

Also, the 2.0 MSQ also had something similar, though it was a heretic trying to get Haillenarte's house to fall for charges of heresy, and his was one of the four main houses of Ishgard, the Holy See doesn't seem to care who is charged, they will strip them of title and chuck them off of Witchdrop/torture them/whatever they feel (or in the quest's case, exile them.)
