Birth of the 7th Tail (Closed)

The tall dark skinned Hyur hammers his balled fist against the service desk, sending quill and ink falling to the ground. "She has been missing several hours Heuloix, you are not doing enough" he bellowed, spots of saliva spraying up at the taller Elezen. The altercation was drawing the attention of other soldiers behind the desk. "She had quarrel with her aunt and sought to leave the home with aim to join your ranks, yet you claim not to have seen her?"

Heuloix remained quite calm, taking a moment to adjust his brown felt hat, proudly sporting the emblem of the twin adders entwined around the lotus flower. "Mister Hunter, your niece's disappearance has been reported to the Wood Wailers. Her search is well underway." Heuloix's tone was plain and professional, and did more to frustrate the Highlander. "Mayhaps you feel my calm demeanor suggests an uncaring attitude Mister Hunter, quite the contrary. Finding the young lady Lucy is currently a priority."

Hunter takes in a deep breath, lowering his head in thought. "Nine Tails" he murmured, coming to a realisation. "Not two suns ago, did she witness the squad of heroes here at the Adder's Nest. She has somewhat of an obsession with your White Wolves squad, where are they? Pray, have them join the Wailer's search."

Serpent Commander Heuloix looks to his colleague over the desk, who nods back in confirmation. "We'll have the team deployed immediately Mister Hunter. We'll put to use all the information you've given in your reports and I'll brief the Nine myself." The commander presses a pearl by his ear. "If you'll permit, I must get to work" he states flatly, turning away to speak through linkshell. "Nines, we have a young girl missing in the Twelveswood, noble born and quite a fan of your squad. Make yourselves available and report to the Nest."

The sound of his tail sweeping over the grass was like music for his ears. His ears twitched lightly he sat down on the earth, the back of his head resting against a tree. His ears twitched lightly everytime the wind softly touched them. It was a nice feeling. His red hair with some slight white in it half-covered his left eye, but both of his eyes were closed - almost like he was taking a nap. But, his nap was disturbed by his linkshell and a familiar voice rang into his ear, making him growl a little, since the voice was rather harsh and annoying, when you're sleepy. He yawned, and listened to what the commander had to say before Naih'tan opened his mouth, barely showing his two sharp canines, and spoke into the linkshell. "So, a noble prinsesse is in need of help? I'll look for her." It was clear to hear that he was tired judging from his voice.

He got up from the ground, brushed his clothes off, and started walking. If this girl were looking for them, surely she'd be headed for the base? So, that's where he was intended to go look for her. He kept looking around to look for any young girls who'd be noble-looking.

Lexira was relaxing near a river near The Bannock and looking up at the sky with a orange colored carbuncle laying next to her. It would seem for her that it was a day that just went smoothly with a lot of relaxing and a tiny bit of training. Untill she heard her linkshell go off.

She sat back up and listens to her linkshell for what Heuloix had to say and nods a few times. "Alright, so a person missing. Fan of us, then we better start looking around." She grabs her book and hangs it on her belt as she looked at the carbuncle and smiled a bit. "Let's do some running to look around."

Lexira looks around and started with a jogging towards the south to start her search for the missing noble.

"With all due respect Commander Heuloix" the female Miqo'te replied, already jogging through the woods. "Most of us are currently in the woods and can mobilise easier from here. Why not brief us over the linkshell?" D'orina picked up her pace, leaning forward into her run. She pelted along fallen trees, skidded through hollow oaks and skipped across running streams heading southwards.

There was a silence over the linkshell from Heuloix, save the distant murmuring of his voice as he conferred with the troubled Highlander. He returns with plainly laid out plan as he began to debrief the scouts on their manhunt. "The Hunter family residence is south of Hopeseed Pond, last known location of the missing person. Tall, for her age, long blonde hair, blue eyes and wore a yellow overcoat leaving the house. Hold your pearls Nine... there is an update from the Wood Wailers."

Heuloix's link falls silent again, with muffled murmurings from other voices. The commander's voice returns, sharp and hastened. "There has been a possible sighting, not long ago, a girl fitting the description of Lady Lucy passed through Bentbranch Meadows heading south. Lexira, report to Bentbranch and find out what you can. Naih'tan, follow on south of the meadows and search for traces. D'orina, make way to Hopeseed Pond and attempt aetheric attunement as only you can. The rest of you divide yourselves and join the three. Follow their lead and lend aid. You have your orders. Any questions?"

Lexira stopped jogging and listen to what was said on the linkshell while she kept looking around her for anything moving.

"Understood. I will be at Bentbranch soon and I will ask around if anybody there made any sighting of the lady with the description that you gave us."

She looked around her once more and started to jog towards Bentbreach Meadows.

Being the amazing Lalafell that he is, Jax stands tapping his left arm with the digits of his right hand, arms crossed over his chest. Waiting, waiting. Only waiting for the rest to actually catch up with himself.

Like a statue, save for this fingers, he stands. His expression so deadpan it might as well be a mask rather than an actual face. The kind of stillness suited best for sociopaths and professional killers. He's only one of these two things, however.

Bentbranch is looking more glum than usual. How about that.

Naih'tan stopped and his ears flattened down to almost hide in his hair. He listened to the command, and held back a growl when he spoke. "Understood, Sir." He said while trying to hold back any annoyed tone in his voice.

Naih'tan started walking south of the meadows as commanded. He kept looking around to find a girl fitting the commander's description. Hopefully the others found her if he didn't. But, he mostly hoped that he found her first. He had a..way with women that others didn't. Atleast, that was his belief.

D'orina responded quickly, flittering past the dried out fallen oaks of Spriggan's Dig, and onwards south through Sorrel Haven. Casual fishermen at Hopeseed Pond looked up curious, as the young Miqo'te darted past. D'orina flew fast as she could over the hedge walls that gated the noble homes of Gridania's rich and elite. "I'm on location" she reported over her pearl, prowling the front lawn of a random large mansion. Her tail snakes side to side as she lowers herself on all fours, sneaking behind a fountain.

D'orina closes her eyes to meditate and begins a spell of invocation. "Blessed Althyk, Keeper of Clocks, I summon the power of Crimson Fox" she whispered the words, her mind calm and still. A gentle breeze envelopes her, blowing around the blades of glass on which she knelt. "In times of need and dire plight, give me now, sight, beyond sight!" Her mind becomes heightened to the echos of aether, her teal green eyes are forced open, turned a crimson shade. She could sense trails of nearby magical presence, and filtered through the different scents of mages past.

Along the road, the path forks into two directions; east towards the boats for the Lavender Beds housing estates or west to the forbidden catacombs known as the Tam-Tara Deepcroft. Just shy of the split roads, on the path near Galvanth's Spire, two Wood Wailers are battling with three assailing Diremites. The shelled body of the giant scorpion-like creatures does well to resits the Wailer's thrusting spears. Naih'tan might notice, caught in the tail of one of the creatures was a richly woven yellow overcoat. The Wood Wailers Lothaire and Finnea struggle to handle the rampaging animals.

Back at Bentbranch, the tall female Elezen Aube introduced herself to the much smaller Lalafell. She maintains caution of the known Twin Adders agent, for his notorious anti-Garlean raids. "Wood Wailer Sentry Aube, here to lend aid with the missing noble?" she began as she walked up to Jaxa and the Auri girl. "She passed through here, only hours ago, took shelter with us in the rain, so focused on her writing, we thought not to disturb her. Weather cleared and she headed out south towards Galvanth's Spire. She seemed upset, but at the time, such was not our concern." Aube paused, looking between the two scouts. "We're already on the case, of course. Sentry Lothaire and Finnea can handle this."

Meanwhile at Hopeseed Ponds noble estates, the magic-sensing spell cast by the Miqo'te would gain her knowledge of magical energies recently moving through the homes that happened to be the residence of the Hunter family. Healing magic of light that fades off at a nearby aetheryte crystal, and a second trace that heads east, a trail of arcanima entwined with the elemental energies of conjury.

Naih'tan glances over at the two Wood Wailers battling three Diremites, and they seem in need of help. So, of course, Naih'tan draws his daggerts and with a smirk, he runs over to them. He attacks the Diremite having a yellow overcoat on the tail, and with some fine jumping, he grabs the overcoat, while still avoiding any attacks of the Diremite.

He wraps it arounds his arm quickly before running back to the Wood Wailers and the Diremites. With some nice swinging with his daggerts, he attacks one of the Diremites, so the Wood Wailers can take of each their own, and in that way, get the Diremites killed faster.
