Cherri Posted June 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 8, 2017 The Wanderer's Solace? The Solace can be categorized as a Bar & Guild. The members of the Company itself are people who take a number of jobs and work for the Company directly, as opposed to contractors or people who come for a drink here and there. With a focus on the adventuring side over the 'Bar' side, most interactions in the Solace will usually have some connotation of business in them, for some say the swill is simply a front for what the members do. The jobs the members of the Solace take are far and wide, whether it be quelling threats too-gruesome for untrained folk, escorting caravans, or contract work for other companies, they can do it all. Despite having a Bar itself, most of the members come for the work, and stay for the drink & work. With a house nestled in the Goblet, it holds all the amenities for people to join and stay. If one is seeking gil and adventure, travelling to places they've never though to before, the Wanderer's Solace is a place to surely join. What does the Solace offer? The Free Company itself is new, but holds many interesting opportunities that I hope aren't too overdone. A story built on it's players and storytellers. Plots can be taken on multiple threads, and many different start points, a number of stories and a number of people can always keep the place alive and breathing. A system based loosely on a number of tabletop systems, categorized simply as DnD-lite, with a roll-system catered to a tabletop experience, and simple enough for anyone to join. People who are experienced in storytelling and GMing, with a focus on enjoyment of the players. Goblet Medium Housing and other amenities to round out an RP zone for the people who wish to join. While small and new, the best word to describe the Solace as, would be ambitious. While not necessarily a boon, we wish to grow and have everyone experience the goal we've been building up and working towards. A space where all are welcome, as long as they are accepting of others. A place where prejudice and racism is not tolerated, we would like to create a community where everyone can exist and enjoy roleplay, not creating drama around it. Cherri Posted July 12, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted July 12, 2017 Progress was indeed slow-going for the beginning of Stormblood, considering all the content bomb, but a while later we're here to pick up and start our plots and events! We're still very much looking for members and interested parties - so don't hesitate! Link to comment
