Caysen Posted June 5, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2013 I've been reading through the Roegadyn language info on the wiki page working on a name for a Roegadyn alt, and I found a discrepancy. In the pronunciation guide it says: Wilf (wolf) would sound like 'vilf' (rhymes with 'filth') Wyznwilf (white wolf) But in the dictionary, 'wolf' is listed as 'uwil' and 'wilf is 'white', while 'wyzn' doesn't have a translation listed at all. Anyone know which is correct? Link to comment
Mtoto Wamoto Posted June 5, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2013 I took a peak at the dictionary and saw that Wolf is in fact listed as Wilf and Wzyn is found near the bottom of the list and translate into White. Uwil on the other hand translates into Owl. Hope that helped! References: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/61147-Roegadyn-Dictionary Link to comment
Caysen Posted June 5, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted June 5, 2013 Perfect, thanks! I was looking at the wiki page here at RPC, which is appears to be wrong. Looking at the official one a lot of these are incorrect. I'll copy the official one into the wiki. Link to comment
Orlog Posted June 8, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 8, 2013 This isn't really completely relevant to the topic, but thank you for posting about it! I had no idea that Roegadyn had their own selection of words up on the internet! Time to do some studying. Link to comment
