Hello there! My name is Veran, and it is a pleasure to meet you all!

 

About Me:

I'm a dude who has been online for quite some time now, doing all the typical sorts of things, until I discovered roleplay, about six or so years back! Since then, I've been absolutely hooked to it! From there, I met plenty of friends, got heavily into all sorts of online games, and just generally enjoy hanging out and talking to everyone I meet. I've always been a Nintendo fan, but actually have never touched a Final Fantasy game! Which, of course, makes me look a bit dumb, trying to roleplay on a Final Fantasy MMORPG. Nonetheless, I am eager to learn and meet new people!

Roleplay and MMORPG Background:

I've been roleplaying, as I said, for about six years now, but my interest goes back to when I was a bit younger and saw some people doing pokemon roleplay on a forum. I got pretty hooked and soon started pushing out small oneliners on another forum I had found! Soon I went on to Steam, and then phone apps, and eventually discord! I've also dabbled in a lot of IM/Realtime websites, and it is my preferred method of roleplaying. I have also done roleplaying in games, mainly games such as Garry's Mod and Starbound.

 

Which leads me to my MMORPG experience. I have played only one MMOrpg before, which would be Trove when it first came out. I hit max-level in the first few days and promptly never played it again. That was four years ago. Furthermore, I have never roleplayed in an MMO before. On top of never doing rp in an MMO, having never played a fully fleshed out MMO, and never playing a Final Fantasy game... I am very very out of my comfort zone, yet very excited to try it all out!

 

My Character:

As of now, I have a man named Vincent Verancu. Very original, I know. He is a Roegadyn Conjurer. Vincent was originally apart of the Hellsguard clan, having left to go pursue his own path as a traveling healer. He has shed his original name and taken on another, as his gentler demeanor causes him to feel a bit outcast from those of his family, causing him to wish to separate himself from them in name. He isn't an innately great healer, although being quite the decent conjurer, and his large size does cause him some trouble when it comes to the tinier sort of folk he encounters. Although he is fiercely loyal to any who would take him on, he tries his best to go by his moral compass. In a situation in which he doesn't have to kill something he believes to be redeemable, he prefers to avoid it entirely, which can sometimes cause internal and external conflict with his position as a Conjurer.

 

So, notes about this character. Totally didn't know about Roegadyn naming conventions when I made him. That was an oopsie. Totally gonna have to fix that if it becomes an issue. Furthermore, anything that doesn't make lore sense, I will definitely fix, but I am still trying to find a place for him to really fit in, story wise. Definitely will be making revisions and changes to him so he seems to be more of a living part of the world. Any advice would be totally awesome and welcome, of course. Sorta important: I started out on Coeurl, but I also made Vincent on a Mateus account too! So really, I can also play on Mateus too! I just need to level him up a bit, but he isn't far behind my other one, as I just started like, two days ago.

How I learned of the Coalition!:

Well, I was searching areas to roleplay in ffxiv, as I had no clue where to start, and I found a nifty reddit post that ended up linking me here! That was very very useful!

 

What I am looking for...:
Frankly, I am just looking for a fun group of people to play with, and enjoy a nice little story with! I am really flexible with my posts lengths, and they really do depend on the scenario that I am in. I will usually push out about 2-3 sentences for small talk, but for anything action-based, I usually hit at around 5-8 sentences comfortably. Of course, I do extend past that, so just let me know if you wanna get a bit more in-depth with me! Another small note is that in roleplay, I enjoy dialogue more than description! Just a small tidbit, and not a big deal! I do want to get better at my descriptions, so like, totally down for that too!

I'm super excited to meet y'all! I'm new to MMOrpg roleplay, yet not new to roleplay. I am new to Final Fantasy! I roleplay as a Roedgadyn Conjurer. My main is on Coeurl, but I also have an account on Mateus, though both accounts are very new! I usually hit around 5-8 sentences in roleplay, and I am looking for all walks of life to hang out with!
