I'm a boring Human!

Hello there, I am not Obi Wan Kenobi, but I am me. I thought I’d throw something in here to introduce myself, my character, and hopefully make some connections!

 

First and foremost, I’m on Mateus, but I’m a total newb; just got this game, yet I don’t want that to be a hindrance RP-wise. I fully intend to RP my character’s journey through and through, using the progression system in FFXIV as a development tool; albeit adding my own flare to it. Flare being, not using the events that transpire through the story, but coming up with alternate situations/events that are linked.

 

Now onto the good stuff!

 

MMORPG background:

I started with Guild Wars 2, where I really fell in love with MMORPGs, but it was a shortlived experience due to poor time management. I have experience in Star Wars The Old Republic, but my time there was much the same as GW2. My longest time spent on any MMORPG would be Black Desert Online which I had played between early 2015 until mid 2017. Safe to say my experience isn’t grand, but I’ve a lot of diversity in what I have played.

 

I lack in terms of knowledge and mechanics; as in dungeon crawling, PvP, etc but I’m always willing to learn.

 

RP experience:

I’ve been RP’ing for years, mostly on Forums and on MMORPGs (Mainly BDO). I have a passion for writing, but realized I didn’t have the patience to create stories on my own; which is why my love for the collaborative creating of RP really came about. I’d say I have about eight or so years under my belt, and I’ve experienced so many fun stories over them!

 

Character Info:

I spent a lot of time thinking on this, but I settled on this guy:

Cade Rose. A fun-loving, easygoing, carefree young man with ambition on the brain but without the vain. He’s in way over his head in terms of confidence, expecting everything he does to go his way, but not magically; through perseverance, he doesn’t like biting the bullet, he prefers to get things done as they arrive and in a manner that he approves of.

 

He finds himself in Ul’dah, trying to find his way around the city, fruitlessly but without frustration; considering the trouble of being lost as a stepping stone to long lasting Legendary status. His desires of the future do not make him look unapproachable, however, with a sunny disposition that smile never goes away. Even though his eyes are telling a story! A story of confusion!

 

How did you learn about the coalition?

I found it on google.

 

What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be?:

I actually work off of those I’m RP’ing with. I can go light for those that aren’t really in it for the moment, I can step it up and write up something mid-level, or crank out paragraphs but will always preserve the aspect of ‘Quality over Quantity’.

 

Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing?:

I’m an auto-mechanic, I fix broken things or find out that what was thought to be broken was really just not, at all. I have aspirations to get further education in this field and work for some big wig brands, but that’s a bit down the road.

 

As for hobbies; I really enjoy RP of course and consider it a hobby, but I also find an interest in TTRPGs,putting together/painting model cars, and I have a soft spot for basketball.
