mr_ite Posted January 23, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2019 Hi everyone! I'm Mr. Ite. Found this place through google lol I've been a fan of FF since the 90s and I've played all the main titles and many of the spin-offs. FF also was my gateway-drug into Dungeons & Dragons, and I've been a DM for 12 years now. Tabletop gaming is my primary hobby, but Final Fantasy will always hold a special place in my heart. I got my first MMO (Elder Scrolls) less than a year ago so I still consider myself somewhat new to online games. My friends over at thelifestream.net convinced me to try FFXIV's free trial, and I would love to see how roleplaying feels in this game. I'm installing the game now but it's allowing me to create my character while I wait! Thanks Square-Enix! So, I'm making a keeper miqo'te. His name is Lecu'tan Xerto, and I'm trying to give him an immersive backstory without spoiling too much about the game (research has been carefully undertaken XD). I figure Lecu'tan is from a large family that lives in the Black Shroud forest. His mother, Lecu Xerto (am I doing this right?) is an absolute badass. Four litters to raise and she never had to resort to banditry or scavenging. As a family, we're excellent hunters. We generally don't really feel one way or another about the Gridanians and the former conflict, it having little effect on our wild lives. Being Lecu's tenth son, I watched my elder brothers leave the forest one by one, hearing word about their adventures abroad. I've always felt babied by my sisters, but now I'm old enough to strike out into the world! My pals from thelifestream told me that 5 years ago there was a big Bahamut attack, but that's all they've told me about the world. One of my brothers, Lecu'ra, was killed by fire and splintering wood. Many of Lecu's sons left after that, to make sure the dangers of the world don't threaten the Black Shroud again. I can't wait for the game to finish installing and for my adventure to get underway! Full disclosure, I'm not great at video games (I miss ATB and turn-based battles so much) and I often play while imbibing some, um, Canadian tobacco. But if you'd like to be friends I'm excited to very slowly make my way towards Level 35! Link to comment
