Balmung player looking for rp connections

I've been on Balmung for many years and developed an interest in rp about 3 years ago. That said I haven't had any luck finding a group or individuals to develop my character with. I've been playing MMOs since the early 2000's and while I have experience with tabletop RP, my MMO rp experience is fairly limited. My main character on Balmung is Pylea Ashewood, she's a highlander female who is, to put it bluntly, a terrible person. She's fairly new to Eorzea and has a pretty flushed out background that I've had a few years to develop, but she is very much a fish out of water in her current environment that isn't the kill or be killed world she's used to. I'm looking for light roleplay at the moment to get more used to it.

 

As far as real life, I'm a cosplayer that's become obsessed with recreating FFXIV costumes and items in real life. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the RPC. I've found the easiest way to get into random rp with people is to head to one of the many organized rp events on Balmung. Throw your character in there and just start talking. Don't be afraid to make the first move. That said, it's much harder to engage in RP if the character is an ornery loner. That works well with an established group, but not really for random pick up rp.

 

And if you see Tadir West hanging around, feel free to be surly at him because of the changing world.
