Brief History: Kay was adopted as an orphaned infant by a retired Ala Mhigan monk and chocobo rancher named Garvin Radley. Under Garvin's care, Kay learned how to care for chocobos and how to defend herself using martial arts taught by the Fists of Rhalgr. At the age of 18, the Seventh Umbral Calamity struck Eorzea, leaving Kay once again orphaned as only she and her steed and best friend, Redfeather, survived the destruction of their ranch due to Bahamut's rampage. Over the next few years, Kay became a drifter, doing anything and everything she could to survive, until the fateful day when she was saved from Bomb monsters by the Go Go Posing Rangers. Inspired by their heroism and striking outfits, Kay found her new calling in life: to become a hero, herself! Thus, she took upon herself the mantle of the "Crimson Coeurl" and travelled across Eorzea, helping the citizenry and bringing justice to criminals and villains.

 

Personality: Energetic, headstrong, curious, boisterous, flair for the dramatic (especially when in costume)

 

Other information: 

* She is an expert on handling chocobos, such that her steed is a red chocobo named "Redfeather". Red chocobos are notorious for their incredible strength and violent, nigh-murderous nature; but under Kay's care, Redfeather is as sweet and docile as his golden-hued cousins.

* She has perfect vision. Her glasses are a memento from her father Garvin, repaired by the Saint of Nyemia and fitted with non-corrective lenses. She is fiercely protective of them.

* Because of the above-mentioned repair of her glasses, she believes wholeheartedly in the existence of the Saint of Nyemia.
