Or perhaps not. Who knows? I haven't yet decided, if I'm being perfectly honest. I'm not ruling anything out, since I'd like to get more of a feel for things before I decide on anything major.

 

 

Now, let's start off with some basic info on me.

I am a Swedish 23 year old full time student. So there will probably be gaps in my playing where tests and stuff are taking up my time. I am also a musician, and I've been playing guitar for almost 8 years now. So if anyone wants to sit around talking music theory or technique I'm totally game for that.

I'm also learning Japanese. After my studies are done here, I'm actually going to study abroad in Tokyo.

 

I've tested pretty much every MMO there is, and even some that aren't. (Not in the west anyway)

But other than Star Wars Galaxies, nothing ever really held my interest. Mainly it's a problem with there not being anything to do outside of combat, and when it's not that, then the game usually has some other major flaw. I mean, I like combat as much as the next person but you can't do just that all of the time.

 

Safe to say my time spent playing MMORPGs have in general been short, and not exactly littered with RP experiences. Again, Star Wars Galaxies being the exception. If anyone else here played on the Starsider unofficial RP server, I was a member of a fairly prominent RP guild called CULT. And that probably would have lasted quite a while longer, if not for the useless peons over att SOE, who saw fit to ruin a perfectly good game in a failed attempt to satiate their own greed.

After that I got into RPing in Jedi Academy for a while, on a server called -=RpG-World=- which if I were to undersell it, I would describe as "not without drama".

 

I have some character ideas that I will be fleshing out down the line. But as for now I'll keep it simple. I will be playing a Miqo'te male, and I will be adhering strictly to the established lore whenever possible. This does extend to naming.

 

I did play some XIV during 1.0, or 1.5... Whatever you want to call the part that didn't suck as much as the launch version. I knew this game would be perfect for getting back into RPing, so I just did a google search for the unofficial RP server, Balmung popped up, and some further searching led me here. But after playing for a few weeks and hearing about ARR being in the works I decided to put off getting back in the saddle for a while. So this site has basically been sitting here bookmarked in Firefox since May 2012, just been waiting for ARR to be released.

 

As for what kind of RP category I fit into, I'll be probably be doing medium, light-medium roleplaying.

I'll have a proper backstory and fleshed out character, but I'll be cutting corners here and there. I will not be trying to justify killing a dodo.

No but seriously, welcome, it's good to have a potential villain aboard, or at least an untrustworthy character of ill repute.

 

Or not, but I guess we'll see?

 

Anyway I look forward to seeing you in game, especially if there's a chance for friction, it always makes things a bit more interesting in my opinion.

I've found plenty to do outside combat, and most people you meet are really friendly and eager to get a little role-play in.

I'm just going by the rules of the forums I read.  /shrugs. I just found it a bit aggressive so first thought to stay away. Especially on an intro forums.

Don't read too much into the title, it's a quote from a well known anime series. I just picked it because I think it's a very colourful way of introducing yourself.
