Demon Fox Posted August 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2013 Alright, this is to do with RP so i thought i would post this in here, i have a couple of questions now that i have managed to get my dude on to Balmung. 1. How do i use custom emotes? I am assuming they are emotes used for descriptive text. In GW2 it was /e /e [insert whatever here] "blah blah blah blah" But /e doesn't seem to work in ARR so i would like a little info on how to perform this. 2. I'm currently around Ul'dah and i was wondering where people go around there to RP. I've seen 3 maybe 4 people in total RPing. Link to comment

I'm curious about this, too, but I haven't seen anyone RPing in the open just yet. No idea about the emotes though I'm afraid. Link to comment
Colyer Posted August 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 25, 2013 I believe it is /em though I may be mistaken. Link to comment
FreelanceWizard Posted August 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 25, 2013 1. Custom emotes are "/emote", which can be shortened to "/em". /e apparently resolves to /echo, which makes text appear on your screen and is, I presume, primarily for macros. 2. A fair number of people aren't in Early Access, so don't despair! Things should pick up after launch. A good spot in general to scope out RP is the Adventurers' Guild, both because it has a lot of foot traffic and because it's an effective backdrop. Link to comment

Also, lets not forget that following launch, a lot of people are steaming through content. So RP might start out a little low, and as people start to tire of the leveling, will come and RP. Myxie Tryxle Posted August 25, 2013 Share #6 Posted August 25, 2013 I would suggest checking out the linkshell listings (click the link!) and being proactive in trying to find RP as well. In particular, the Intermission OOC linkshells are a good way to ask other RPers where they're RPing, or if anyone would like to meet up for RP. Good luck Link to comment
