The new, the fresh, the...bacon?

I enjoy bacon.....

 

 Ahem, I have been role-playing for 9 years now, wow, since World of Warcraft, curiously I have never presented myself in an RP community forum. I guess it is because of the obvious fact that WoW and TERA have a server labeled RP in the name, and it pretty much , yeah, you know. However, this feels like a wonderful new experience =D!! *Waves to everyone* is this how you do it?

 

 

 Decisions, hard, harsh decisions. I usually come to my own conclusion in a secluded corner of my consciousness after analyzing all the ideas that storm in my head, but I decided to be open for the first time in all the years previously mentioned. First off I still need a lot of studying to do in terms of lore, and history of both this RP community and the game. (Will be doing some exploring in the forums after this post.) So far I only read a wise discussion about choosing between Gilgamesh or Balmung. In almost all the times I had to make a decision I have been very clear and precise, but it's getting hard for me in FFXIV-ARR...

 

 A server of veterans... It sounds pleasant because if you need some kind of help in terms of development, you will know where to look. But then again it sounds more like you would have to follow a script and be very cautious on how you approach the "elderly" in being spontaneous with new things. This is, keeping in mind some common ethics, consideration and respect for those who have been here before you; even if its open to new things. Meanwhile Gilgamesh is fresh out of the oven no? It sounds exciting to be able to conjure up new things and become an inside leader and work for the greater good of the community. Aye, Gilgamesh would be the road favored by few in my opinion. I say this because you would have to be a beacon of RP for both the new and even the veterans who migrate! It can turn into a responsibility, but it can be rewarding in the long run no? 

 

  To narrow down my brainstorming; how many out there have taken the path of the beacon of RP? Or how many have preferred to be the shadow of the risen sun? If there was somewhere I can be pointed too, and people I can talk to to work and create a new dawn in Gilgamesh, where can I find you? Say hello! I may or may not greet you with a bacon sla-- I mean, hug. Or maybe its just overall easier to join an already established "guild" in Balmung and go with the flow? Grrr!! Maybe many of you would just say make a character on both servers! But not all of us are blessed with the time v.v!

 

  Thank you everyone in advance who took the time to read! I also apologize in advance for my current ignorance on the current status of RP in the game. I just bought it, like just now! And I`m running about with the installation.

Nobody can give you accurate numbers, but those leading (or recruiting for) the server's OOC Rper Linkshell's could give you an idea.

 

On both servers, we're in the three digits.

And we need more than one Linkshell (them having a cap of 128 members,that should give you an idea).

 

There is no shortage of RPêrs either way.

Welcome! I think both servers are great. If you don't have a preference, I might suggest perusing the Linkshells/Free Companies and see if one tickles your fancy. Then you'll know which server you want to try.
