An introduction to my character - Zahara Twidle

Family Background:

 

Zahara is the youngest in the family. Her parents own a bar called The Indigo Barn, her two brothers work for the family business, pulling pints and making sure there's plenty of stock. Her sister runs the nearby inn and together, they make a comfortable living.

 

Zahara on the other hand, due to her being the youngest, she's often the most restless and gets stuck with the more... horrible tasks, cleaning toilets and listening and entertaining drunks...

 

It all went wrong for her about a year ago when she met Sid Storo, a shrewd business man who manipulated her into playing a game of chance where she unfortunately lost every bit of gil she had saved over the years, although she paid up, he kept on collecting "interest" and eventually began targeting her family.

 

With nowhere else to go and a stubbornness like no other, she decided the only way to fix the problem was to fake her own death. One evening, she broke into Sid's house and stole all the money, pocketing it inside her jacket. His guards caught her in the act and she legged it, Sid and his guards chased her through forest, due to her nimble size and agility, she was able to get ahead of them.

 

She got to the cliff's edge and went into the bushes, pulled out a dummy dressed in her clothes. Without thinking, she put her coat over the dummy and waited till the opportune moment before throwing it over the side of the cliff and hid behind some bushes. 

 

Sid and his minions ran to the edge of the cliff and looked down and saw the dummy. They were too high up and it was to dark for them to see the dummy clearly. Zahara managed to send a fire spell to burn the dummy to a crisp without being seen. 

 

She waited till Sid was happy about her death, before she set off herself. Her pockets lined with all of Sid's money...or so she thought, till she realized, she not only watched it go up in flames.... but she was the one who had set the fire. With a final sigh, she set off to make her own way in life, unknown to her about what lies ahead...

 

Character traits:

 

 

She's sassy, cheeky, very witty and in her own little way quite charming, her mouth gets her into a lot of trouble, often speaking and acts before she thinks.

 

She's the spirit of a party, very upbeat and nothing will put her down. She's not afraid of hard work but is in some respects a coward and while she's very loyal, if cornered, she would rather run than stand together.

Summary

 

 

It's one of my ideas for a character. She knows when to be serious but is also quite lighthearted and provides good banter. The path she takes in life will depend on the people she meets.
